Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on various electrical and electronic systems, both outdoors and within the company workshop.
• Troubleshoot issues effectively to ensure minimal downtime.

• Minimum Professional Certificate/NiTEC (Electrical & Electronic Engineering / Electrical Engineering).
• At least one year of experience in customer support and repair of forklifts, automobiles, and heavy industrial equipment.
• Must have knowledge of AC & DC motors, single-phase & three-phase systems, lead acid & lithium batteries, electrical control circuits, and hydraulic systems.
• Possess a Class 3 driving license or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components to ensure optimal functioning.
• Perform hands-on repairs and address issues promptly across all building facilities, ensuring minimal downtime.

• Implement preventive maintenance schedules for key equipment and systems to reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns.

• Act as a first responder for emergency repairs, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building issues.

• Liaise with external contractors for specialized repairs, ensuring work is done efficiently and to a high standard.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Building Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong technical skills in building systems maintenance (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical).
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or emergencies.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
