• Plan and manage the procurement process of building & renovation projects which include tender calling, evaluation, selection and appointment of project consultants and contractors.

• Inspect and upkeep New Life’s facilities on an on-going basis to determine the condition and efficacy of our building and assets.
• Source, procure and manage all maintenance services and vendors.
• Work with the relevant facility staff to record and address operational faults during work and non-work hours.

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, preferably 3 years relevant experience.

POSITION GOALS:

Primary responsibility is to check day to day efficient operations and maintenance of all building systems, including going through daily checklist for the site.
Responsible for the supervision of the 3rd party vendor. He will report to the Assistant Manager for any conditions affecting building services and tenant comfort. The specific areas of responsibility include but are not limited to tenant services and technical proficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervises and directs 3rd party vendor staff.
• Ensure all Periodic Preventive maintenance was done and signed off
• Will work with the Manager and data centre personnel to schedule equipment to be taken off line so that preventative maintenance can be performed.
• Monitors operation of electrical and mechanical equipment supporting the facility and facility’s critical operations.
• Requires the ability to do basic analysing the operation of the various systems, determine the cause of any problem / malfunctions and corrective action as required.
• Understand escalation processes with due diligence
• Attend to Helpdesk ticket and follow up with closure
• Permit to work(PTW) and air-conditioning extension to landlord
• Filing of service report and soft copy into the data base

EMPLOYEE SPECIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES:

Education - Minimum of a high school education, 2 years in trades or equivalent. ACMV and electrical engineering background will be preferred.

Job Experience - 1+ years of experience in data centre engineering and maintenance service will be preferred
• Experience in vendor supervision,
• Ability to communicate in both oral and written reports.
• Exposure to ACMV, mechanical, electrical and fire systems will be preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office.
• Ability to work in 12hour shift for 7/24 support

Responsibilities:

• Oversee building and data centre facilities: recording and reporting on the BMS / EMS / Fire D&P / Chiller / Electrical etc
• Administrator for preventative maintenance programs to ensure that equipment are properly serviced & maintained
• Maintain good documentation of facilities and / or equipment maintenance
• Prepare monthly SLA reports for equipment uptime, power usage & temperature readings
• Respond to emergency situation and be on 24x7 standby duty
• Prepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary
• Be involved in new data centre projects as well as renovation and maintenance to existing space
• Responsible to handle site inspections / audits by external authority (eg. HDB/LTA/NEA/FSB)
• Scheduling and tracking of servicing jobs and vendor management on a day to day basis
• Maintain high customer service level standards
• Managed all facilities contracts

Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in Building / Facility Management or any other related field
• Some relevant experience in Data Centre facility management and vendor management is a good bonus
• Good knowledge in building technology, mechanical and electrical services and facilities management
