Duties of Facility Maintenance Engineer:

• Engineering Oversight: Manage the maintenance and operations of critical equipment and building services. Conduct regular site reviews to identify opportunities for cost reduction, productivity improvement, and the adoption of best practices in engineering and sustainability.
• Process Optimization: Act as a Subject Matter Expert to refine processes, tools, and documentation. Ensure compliance with critical environment management (CEM) standards, maintain preventive maintenance programs, and oversee service contracts and contractor performance.
• Safety and Risk Management: Champion safety procedures, including crisis management, business continuity, and emergency protocols. Lead risk management and mitigation initiatives in collaboration with site teams and vendors.
• Strategic Planning and Reporting: Ensure all risk mitigation plans are aligned with client policies and procedures. Monitor and evaluate all critical environment equipment to ensure optimal performance. Participate in asset lifecycle planning and implement improvement projects.

Requirements:

• Relevant certifications (e.g. Data Centre Foundation Certificate (DCFC))
• 4 - 6 years relevant experience with exposure in Data Centre

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Building and Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Aftersales Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our own building facilities, ensuring all systems are operational, and supervising vendors during renovations. This role requires hands-on experience in various maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, and building works.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine checks and maintenance on electrical systems, air-conditioning systems, compressed air, and chilled-water systems to ensure they are functioning properly. Contact and work with contractors for routine servicing and emergency repairs to keep the building in daily operational state. Supervise vendors during renovation projects to ensure a smooth transition to new areas and maintain quality standards. Maintain good housekeeping in AHU (Air Handling Unit) and switch rooms to ensure cleanliness of equipment and site. Work with contractors and vendors to carry out scheduled maintenance and supervise work on premises to ensure quality, cost-effective repairs and renovations. Perform hands-on repairs for sanitary and plumbing works, electrical works, and building works as needed. Carry out simple fault finding for telephone lines to ensure communication systems are operational. Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time to support the maintenance and operational needs of the facility.

Qualifications:

· NITEC in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, Facility Services or related discipline

· Minimum 2 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance support

· Certificate in Building Maintenance/Building Inspection will be of an added advantage

· Hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, and building works.

· Willing to travel to other locations for the repair work

Job Scope: Execute and revise project work plans to cater to changing needs and requirements Supervise works to ensure timely completion and adhere to various standards

Liaise with clients, Managers in preparation for site work and plan schedules Keep Project Manager well informed of status of project and coordinate communications between various departments Liaise with the design specialists on drawings, amendment and re-submission to clients Assist in conducting site measurement and inspections.
