Our client is a leading manufacturing company. They are looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to upport the next phrase of their business. They are located at East of Singapore– easily accessible. The Senior System Software Engineer is responsible for:

Duties

• Design and develop the software architecture for company instrument systems.
• Collaborate closely with the hardware engineering team to analyze system requirements, ensuring functionality, performance, and reliability are achieved.
• Define and document software requirements, architecture, design, and test plans to align with system goals.
• Implement and test system software, addressing issues until resolved to meet customer expectations.
• Ensure timely delivery by aligning software development with project schedules and requirements.

Requirements

• Min Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
• Solid knowledge and extensive working experience in low level communication protocol, motion control, device drivers and firmware will be preferred
• Solid programming skills in C/C++/C#

(a) Responsibilities:

The candidate is responsible for the end-to-end testing activities of an integrated e-payment system. The primary responsibilities would include carrying out the activities in the testing lifecycle including the test

planning, and analyzing business and system requirements.

The candidate will also be responsible for:

• Preparing the test environment, designing, and developing the test cases.

• Preparing the test environment, and executing the test procedures.

• Automating the test solution based on the system design using scripting or programming languages as well as performance tuning.

• Create traceability to requirements, analyze gaps and address them.

• Logging and tracking defects to closure

• Conducting test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects, and address test gaps to ensure test efficiency.

• Develop design documents and user manuals that would effectively describe and provide clear instructions on the test automation solution to the end users including testers and stakeholders.

(b) Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Engineering

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in executing testing and

developing test automation solutions involving devices (UI-based

or embedded) and/or back-office systems with familiarity on the full

system development lifecycle from requirement, development, to

testing and deployment;

• Good written and verbal communication skills;

• Able to work well both independently as well as in a team;

• Certification in software testing preferred;

• Experience in micropayments Fare Collection systems using Smart Cards and in diverse test execution phases (System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Performance testing) would be an advantage;
