We are looking for an experienced Production Manager/Supervisor to organize and oversee the manufacturing of food products. You will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.

We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day.

· Manage and ensure all manufacturing operations conforms with applicable food industry standards and relevant regulatory standards

· Ensure manufacturing and processing staff wear appropriate sanitary and protective gear to ensure health and safety

· Monitor every aspect of production to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards

· Oversee the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment to ensure smooth work operations

· Set production objectives and implement action plans for achieving set targets

· Conduct forecast to identify potential risks and contingencies in a proposed project

· Prepare periodic reports to update upper management on food production activities

· Maintain accurate inventory of raw materials and processed food products

· Ensure products and raw materials are stored properly at optimum conditions

· Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines

· Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and provide leadership to ensure the production of high quality, safe and legally compliant products for Tee Yih Jia Food Manufacturing and its subsidiaries.
2. Collaborate, guide and provide technical support to various departments including production, shipping, warehouse and maintenance department to ensure compliance to quality, safety and regulatory requirements.
3. Lead continuous improvement to meet the desired product quality, safety, regulatory and customer expectations.
4. Provide governance of the Food Safety Management System, HACCP and Halal Quality Management System and lead the development and implementation of standards in the plant.
5. Lead and manage all external audits including 3rd Party (BRC, HALAL), Customer and Regulatory (SFA) audits etc.
6. Manage all customer inquiries and ensuring timely and professional response to Customer Complaints.
7. Lead QA Team to conduct Internal Quality, GMP, Supplier and HACCP audits.
8. To be the main point of contact for Government related agencies.
9. Lead QA Team in the application of relevant regulatory licenses and export health certificate application.
10. Provide new product development support including food regulatory requirements, product evaluation and testing.
11. Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Food Science or equivalent.
2. Candidate with 4-5 years of hands-on experience in the F&B manufacturing industry and minimum of 2 years managing a team.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible to analyse food safety and quality results and track performance against established goals and assist in periodic reporting of performance.
2. Serve as first point of contact for all customer quality inquiries, aiding in scheduling of audits, providing feedback to both simple and complicated inquiries.

• Capacity / Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional ASMPT S&OP teams and CMs to develop production schedules that meet inventory, lead-time, and delivery requirements. Align S&OP plans between ASMPT & CM; collaborate to de-escalate capacity or supply risks if any. Plan for provisions in CM capacity surge to support ramp cycles.
• Qualification: Establish stringent qualification plan with QA for CMs to ensure CMs meet ASMPT’s standards (training, copy-exact transfer, FAI and PPAP).
• Quality Assurance: Establish quality control processes with QA and ensure CMs’ adhere to strict quality, safety, trade, legal and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Performance Management: Establish & implement KPIs and metrics to assess the performance of CMs, regularly reviewing performance, taking corrective actions as necessary.
• Continuous Improvement: Track production unit costs, support CMs on process and cost efficiency improvements while maintaining high quality standards.
• Change Management: Advocate clear change management process to govern, track and qualify all changes made to the form, fit and function of the product.
• Project Management: Coordinate across various internal and external stakeholders to align and progress per plan to achieve the desired outcomes. Escalate and mitigate business critical risks.
• Industry Knowledge: Stays abreast with industry and policy changes and identifies implications and opportunities for his/her area of contract manufacturing.
• Business Planning: Participates in annual business planning process, provides monthly estimated actual on projected and actual spending, maintains a multiyear capital plan/budget.

• Tertiary qualifications (Bachelor’s) in supply chain mgmt., engineering, business, or related fields
• >10 years of experience in commercial/business AND manufacturing (ops, quality, technology, planning) function required. Proven leadership experience in leading technical/resident engineers
• Experience in External and Contract Manufacturing, Supply Chain Processes & Quality Management. Proficiency in Mechanical and Electrical/Electronic Drawings is a plus.
• Experience in capital equipment contract manufacturing highly desirable, particularly dealing with contract management, operation/delivery management and quality management.

Responsibilities

1. Responsible to analyse food safety and quality results and track performance against established goals and assist in periodic reporting of performance.
2. Serve as first point of contact for all customer quality inquiries, aiding in scheduling of audits, providing feedback to both simple and complicated inquiries.
3. Develop, update and implement current Food Safety Management System (BRC), HACCP and Halal Quality Management System (MUIS) in accordance to standards to ensure products produced meet relevant regulations and certification requirements.
4. Ensure production, warehouse and areas where activities affect food safety and quality comply with GMP.
5. Lead and conduct investigation of customer complaints, maintain investigation log and track investigation closure.
6. Issue CPAR to internal and suppliers for all non-conforming products including raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
7. Conduct annual mock recall, traceability and mass balance exercise.
8. Support and assist external audits and inspection including 3rd Party, Customer and Regulatory audits and inspections.
9. Develop and conduct appropriate training in all aspects of food quality and safety to ensure compliance to established systems.
10. Responsible for the application of Export Health Certificate and Phytosanitary Certificate.
11. Provide technical advice and support to sales, shipping, maintenance and production department.
12. Responsible to issue and complete customer inquiries, questionnaires, COA, product specifications and declarations.

Requirements

1. Minimum Diploma in Food Science or equivalent.
