Responsibilities

1. Responsible to analyse food safety and quality results and track performance against established goals and assist in periodic reporting of performance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with sales, logistic and production division to meet customer delivery request.
• Ensure optimum inventory control by conversion & substitution to prevent obsolete inventory.
• Collaboration with customer on order cancellation & sales return processing and treatment.
• Identify problems and opportunities for business process improvement solution at ground level tasks.
• Negotiate with Production planner to arrange production input in order to meet customer urgent delivery requests.

How you’ll contribute:

Headquartered in Singapore, the Production Manager leads the production, warehousing and logistics of the company’s food products. The candidate is expected to be well-versed with food manufacturing / processing technology and Workplace Safety and Health (WSH).

• To build and manage an operations team / department.
• To set-up production floor, equipment purchases and handle government certifications.
• To manage and oversee the production, warehousing, and logistics of the company.
• Responsible for coordination and control of production processes to maintain yield.
• To oversee the quality of the production and products are delivered on time with minimal material loss.
• To ensure that the quality standards of the factory are adhered to at all times and all work conforms to statutory & safety requirements.
• To maintain, upkeep and handle cleanliness of the production and warehousing floorspace.
• Where/when required, to address areas of non-compliance and possible solutions to prevent future re-occurrence.
• To manage manpower planning and shift rotations where applicable.
• Where/when required, to prepare operations report for submission to management including progressive status updates on production KPI, performance, workplace safety; etc.
• Manage and guide the Food Technology & QA/QC department. 
• Work with the sales & marketing team, to identify market opportunities by analysing market share, competitor products and continually seeking new/untapped opportunities. 
• Alongside the company’s core production capabilities, to manage and develop the research and development of all existing and new products, product concepts and recipes of the company. 
• Handle all new recipes of the company’s food products – from formula and costing creation, trials and development to SOPs for production, product launch and scale-up. 
• Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs. 
• Meticulously document and record all work within the company’s databases, including recipes, preparation lists and ordering databases. 
• Develop innovative solutions to help grow and value-add to customers’ requirements, ensuring that any solutions provided are within the stipulated cost parameters and manufacturing capability.  
• To establish QA/QC objectives of the department aligned to management goals and company direction. 
• Undertake the full spectrum of quality assurance functions: Raw material checks, processing checks, quality control and critical control points checks, final product verification. 
• Perform physio-chemical test, sensory evaluation and microbiological tests on food products. 
• Conduct audit and evaluation of quality assessment and qualification for all material suppliers (local and international).  
• To ensure that all SOPs for food quality and safety to fulfil local/international certification requirements. 
• Where/when required, to conduct root-cause analysis of customer complaint/s and offer quality assessments and possible solutions to prevent future re-occurrence. 
• Maintain ongoing communication with different stakeholders to share on emerging new ingredients, packaging and technology. 
• Oversee attainment of relevant certifications for the company (including but not limited to SFA, FSSC 22000, BRC, Halal, Koscher, FDA, EU, Organic) 

Who you are:

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing plant
• Well-versed with factory automation and manufacturing technology
• Familiar working with manufacturing data to drive productivity improvements
• Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act
• Able lead, guide and manage a small team with effective communication skills
• Proactive, keen attitude, diligent, resourceful, and strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Responsible for production operation activities to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing process
• Liaise with cross functional department on effective corrective/preventive actions, including carry out improvement activities such as process optimization, benchmarking, etc through various statistical tools and software.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

Job Description:

1. Assist the Factory Manager and Operations Manager to oversee the daily factory operations.

2. Fit up experience and ability to study drawings is required.

3. Provide and ensure the work instructions are executed properly by the workers.

4. Plan daily work to optimize utilization of tools, equipment, materials and labour.

5. Assist the QC Inspector to perform "In-Process QC Checking"

6. Ensure the workmanship is of acceptable quality.

7. Monitor progress and ensure that all works are carried out according to planned schedule.

8. Monitor and report work progress & any problems encountered to the Assistant Operations Manager/Production Engineer.

9. Monitor the material inventory list and record material usage & movement.

10. Check and ensure that sufficient materials are provided for fabrication works.

11. Assist the Operations Manager/Production Engineer to train production workers so that they are capable to perform assigned tasks effectively and efficiently.

12. Assist the Planner to perform material take-off for procurement and prepare/produce cutting plans for plate sections.

Requirements:

1. Minimum Diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.

- Supervise, oversee & schedule the production work for project, helping in carpentry work if require.

- Experience in Events / Exhibition inductries

- Calculate & order the material for project

General and Packing worker for a small company. Able to carry light dry materials for packing. 5-day week work day. No experience is required. Able to work without supervision. Must clean the work area after each work day. Able to read simple english words to identify ingredients to be used. Training will be provided
