PRIMARY FUNCTION:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations and routine/ breakdown maintenance of Utilities Equipment systems
• Maintain operations and maintenance records to comply with regulatory, cGMP and EHS requirements.
• Take ownership of utility systems as the Subject Matter Expert
• Participate in corporate, regulatory, cGMP, EHS and other internal/ external audits as required by the management.
• Analyze technical problems in the utility and manufacturing areas and develop both short term and long-term recommendations for their correction. Lead or assist cross-functional teams in finding solutions to technical problems.
• Actively engaged in developing specifications for equipment and utility systems and assist in FAT/ SAT of related equipment as part of the new buildouts
• Participates in vendor bid solicitation, selection and contract management.
• Responsible for the performance of preventative & repair maintenance of utility system equipment, periodic inspections of utility systems to ensure proper operation, and daily checks/repairs in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Analyze trends and identify issues and improvement opportunities proactively.
• Coaching and mentoring of Technicians in the execution of routine operations and maintenance works.
• Ensure that contractors are delivering quality services.
• Ensure that all internal customer demands are being met.
• Compliance with local regulatory laws is also required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead a team of technicians and contractors for day-to-day utilities operations to ensure zero
• downtime of utilities systems and drive continuous improvement projects/ initiatives.
• Preparing operation and maintenance zero base budget.
• Carry out other work or task as directed by Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Chemical/ Engineering or related discipline
• MOM certified Steam Engineer Certification preferred
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Utilities/Mechanical/Maintenance/Electrical engineering related positions
• Hands-on experience in routine operations, maintenance, engineering design, start-up, and commissioning of the relevant Utilities Discipline
• Knowledge of cGMP is highly preferred

This role is responsible for planning raw materials, Flavours and Vendor Directs by maintaining safety inventory levels and replenishing based on MRP requirements. Be a back-up for the other raw materials Planner (Non Flavours and Packaging).

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze SAP purchase requisitions and convert to PO’s on timely basis for Flavors and Vendor Directs
2. Manage exceptions such as expedites and postponements or cancellations.
3. Be the data owner for these materials
4. Daily interaction with Production Planners, quality, receiving, freight forwarder to provide updates on raw material availability
5. Management of PO relating to vendor direct items and full process since PO creation until confirmation of shipment; and coordination of internal activities
6. Responsible for providing feedback for New Product Introduction via e-ICE maintenance for common materials
7. Ensure accuracy and maintenance of Safety Stock and raw materials planning master data
8. Meet key inventory and material planning metrics
9. Identify and manage opportunities to optimize SAP functionality
10. Maintain Materials Dashboard KPIs which include PO management, RM shortage, Order Acknowledgement, SOH vs Safety, Shelf life and RM availability
11. Provide accurate and timely feedback in relation to Inventory in Risk (MIRA)
12. Lead and implement projects for inventory optimization and process improvements
13. Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and collaborate with procurement team to resolve supply issues
14. Meet all internal and external compliance responsibilities including Purchasing Policy requirements, GCS, SOX & AIBI
15. Adherence to all PepsiCo Health & Safety requirements is a requirement of this role

Requirements

Education or Professional Certifications (minimum level required e.g. Bachelor’s degree, Diploma and/or certifications)

Support all activities in maintaining a QC IPCDS lab in BioPharmOps QC. Testing of in-process control & drug substance samples, to support production needs and document in accordance with written testing SOP’s and in accordance with local/ international regulations.

JOB PURPOSE

As a member of the production shift team, the job holder will operate and monitor the chemical production activities in the plant, ensuring that the product is manufactured within set production schedule and to the required standards of quality in a safe, efficient, responsible and cost effective manner.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The job holder will report to the Shift Supervisor and his deputy working alongside with other chemical technicians.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operate the different streams of the plant for their specific processes.

Each of these processes comprises the following activities.

a) Handover checks computerised and/or manual.

b) Obtaining, following and completing process related documentation.

c) Pre and post batch cleaning of vessels and lines.

d) Pre batch checks.

e) Charging vessels either manually or via a pump.

f) Post charging checks and taking corrective action where necessary.

g) Adjusting and monitoring process conditions as required to start the process.

h) Monitoring process; both with computer and manually observing temperature, pressure, flow, pH, volume, colour, moisture content and adjusting the parameters accordingly.

i) Carrying out routine sampling and Bulk packing and testing of samples as required.

j) Recognise end point of the reaction and altering process parameter to stop reaction.

k) Transferring product to the next stage.

2. Comply with HSE and quality policies and defined procedures. Bring out unsafe conditions and acts / procedures for correction.

3. Record all operational and analytical data on the appropriate documents and inform the Shift Supervisor of any process abnormalities.

4. Maintain product separation and accurate labelling of all documents, bags and vessels at all times.

5. Carry out routine checks and scheduled cleaning procedures including cleanrooms.

6. Request and collect raw materials and consumables, observe clean areas procedures, monitor raw materials stock and notify Shift Supervisor for any abnormalities.

7. Notify Shift Supervisor of requirements for maintenance. Prepare equipment before maintenance work e.g. depressurizing, cleaning of lines and equipment, de-energizing, LOTO etc.

8. Perform basic maintenance of equipment using tools such as TPM.

9. At the Shift Supervisor's request, to carry out on-the-job training of other Chemical Technicians, incorporating cGMP and safety procedures.

10. To observe cGMP and Health & Safety rules and regulations at work at all times in accordance with Company set standards.

11. To be aware of the potentially hazardous nature of the chemicals in the area and must take the appropriate precautions when using them.
