The Production Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplined team, providing support to the production elements of the Infrastructure Version 2 (IV2) applications. The role is centred on application support and requires a wide range of technical skills.

You will join the team that provides a platform that aims to be one one-stop shop for the production and consumption of community-driven digital services. These services range from providing on-demand compute resources to analytics platforms and DevOps utilities. This includes the support and project deliveries of the platform itself as well as onboarding new digital offerings into the platform.

Position Overview:

As a Production Engineer, you will support the Infrastructure Version 2 (IV2) applications, focusing on application support and a variety of technical tasks. You will collaborate with development, infrastructure, and Business IT teams to ensure seamless onboarding, support, and enhancement of digital services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify business cases for onboarding onto the IV2 platform.
• Provide end-to-end support from POC to production.
• Monitor, manage, and improve production environment performance.
• Customize production tools for monitoring, deployment, and scheduling.
• Contribute to technical projects, including architecture review and system migrations.
• Provide feedback and propose solutions for performance and capacity issues.
• Respond to incidents and resolve issues promptly.

Technical Skills:

• Strong system administration skills in Linux/Unix and knowledge of Windows systems.
• Understanding of global infrastructure, networking, and firewalls.
• Experience with load balancing technologies (e.g., F5 Big-IP).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., ITRS Geneos).
• Automation skills with tools like Ansible and BMC BladeLogic.
• Programming and scripting skills in Python, Perl, Ruby, or Java.
• Experience with log indexing products such as Splunk and Elastic Search.
• Knowledge of web technologies like Tomcat, Apache, NGiNX, and IIS.

• Taking full responsibility for overseeing manufacturing plant operations within your jurisdiction, spanning warehousing, production, quality control, tool procurement, maintenance etc.
• Developing efficient workflows to ensure seamless plant operations year-round
• Directly supervising daily activities at the manufacturing plant, actively involved in operations

Job Scope
-perform contract review on purchase orders

-To create sales order in oracle system with accurate data entry to fulfill customer`s requirements

-Management/Updated of production planning file

-to close sales work order and prepare product certification documents

-liaise with customer on some expectation/requirements.

-Preparation of regular reports

-answering phone calls and emails

• 3 to 6 years of experiences. Perform work in shifts to provide 24/7 on-site or on-call support
• To support linux/Java/MariaDb applications.
• Incident and Problemmanagement
• Should have knowledge on SRE. Best practices and able to adhere to SRE guidelines in the work.
• Provide root cause analysis techniques to determine cause and resolve complex system issues.
• Perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved.
• Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
• Work with onsite and offshore teams across multiple technologies/applications
• Continuous improvement of the system, eq. removal of TOIL, job automation, performance tuning.
• Proactive management of production services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, throughput, user journeys and overall system health.

1. Shift Timing
   1. Morning shift 6am to 3pm
   2. General shift 9am to 6pm.
   3. Afternoon shift 2pm to 11pm
   4. Night shift 10pm to 7am.
