Mission

The Finance Manager is to assist the Finance Director in managing the day–to–day activities of the Finance Department of the Company; monitoring its daily operations and reporting to the Finance Director of any irregularities. This involves improving the systems and services of the Finance Department to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Overall, in charge of the Finance Department
• Handle full sets of accounts
• Review/Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements and annual report
• Perform hands-on monthly Company and associated companies' financial reporting per internal/external requirements
• Review/Preparation of consolidated annual Company forecast and budget.
• Responsible for Financial Planning and Reporting for the Company
• Provide effective analysis of monthly Company consolidated results against budget and previous year
• Monitor and analyse current and past trends in financial performance and key performance indicators
• Preparation of treasury–related reports like cash flow projection, FX hedging, and corporate loan reports
• Drive quarterly cashflow projections, rolling forecasts, estimates, and budget preparation
• Assist in the review and preparation of corporate tax and GST matters
• Review of the Company's monthly forecast submission
• Preparation of schedules necessary for audits
• Liaise with auditors on statutory audit matters
• Keep abreast of new technical accounting, reporting, and regulatory matters and update/train finance personnel in business units on new requirements arising therefrom
• Undertake projects on an ad-hoc basis such as system implementation project
• Mentor and guide the finance staff based on industry best practices and department strategies
• Support the Finance Director in any finance, administrative, strategic tasks, or other ad-hoc duties

Required Competencies:

• Professional qualifications: Degree in Accountancy or Finance, ACCA or equivalent
• Technologies: Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and a working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Software will be an added advantage
• Possess 5 years of relevant job experience
• Working experience in the motor retail industry will be advantageous
• Supervisory experience in motivating and training staff
• Strong financial competency, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, hands-on, resourceful, and with an eye for details and accuracy
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, be meticulous, and adhere to tight deadlines

Job Description

The Data Center Facilities Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the facility's operation, including power, cooling, fire protection, security, and environmental controls. Other responsibilities include managing data center floor space and security. You will also lead a team of outsourced technicians and contractors, to manage projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key objectives are to:

•Maximize uptime: Ensure the data centre infrastructure meets the required availability levels and minimizes downtime, preventing outages, service and data loss.

•Maintain system redundancy: Implement and manage redundant systems for critical infrastructure to ensure smooth operation even during maintenance or unexpected events. Ensure maintenance regime is adhered to and any arising gaps remediated in a timely manner.

•Control operational expenses: Manage budgets effectively and find cost-saving opportunities for maintenance, upgrades, and external services

•Plan and strategize data center requirements to meet SIA current and future IT roadmap.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage:

•A team of outsourced data centre technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

•Projects related to the maintenance, upgrade, and expansion / optimization of the data centre infrastructure.

•Hosting sites are run as per SLA and within limits of key data centre operating parameters for power cooling and environmental settings

•Emergency response plans for diverse scenarios like power outages, fires, or natural disaster

Ensure optimal performance:

•Of critical infrastructure systems, including power distribution, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, and security systems.

•Of the data centre environment, maintaining optimal temperature, humidity, and air quality.

•Of operational efficiency and resource utilization.

Plan and execute:

•Preventive maintenance schedules and corrective actions for identified issues.

•Emergency response procedures in case of power outages, equipment failures, or other disruptions.

•Budgetary allocation and resource management for the data centre facilities.

Maintain compliance:

•With all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

•Lead and manage data center audits

•Documentation for all systems and procedures.

Collaborate:

•With IT and other teams to ensure the smooth integration of data centre operations with other critical functions.

•With external vendors and service providers to maintain and upgrade equipment and systems.

Data Cente strategy and migration:

•Responsible for providing Data centre design and construction inputs, sustainability initiatives, and energy efficiency optimization

•Work with IT team for data centres space and power requirements

•Work with and support IT team for any data centre migration as required

•Responsible for writing Datacenter related tenders such as maintenance contract, co-location sourcing etc. and writing management approval papers.

Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years relevant industry experience or Diploma in electrical engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in datacentre infrastructure and facility management

•Familiar with fire safety rules and regulations associated with operating complex datacenter infrastructure

•Proficient in data centre monitoring and management software

•Familiar with data center fiber and structure cabling would be a added advantage

•Possess Datacenter certification eg. CDCP, CDFOM

•Familiar with TIA-942-B design standards for Datacenter, Uptime Standards and ASHRAE requirements

•Familiar with IT hardware specifications and computer racking requirements for datacenter space and power planning.

•Excellent organizational/administrative skills as well as strong communications & interpersonal skills

•Must be a positive, collaborative, active excellent problem-solver, being customer service oriented and conscientious.

•Willing to work on non-office hour and weekend including public holidays

About The Inclusive Fund

Started in July 2021, The Inclusive Fund (TIF) is set up to provide interim/transitional support and bridge existing service gaps through supporting *transnational families, who do not receive sufficient formal forms of support/assistance due to eligibility issues, in hope to promote equity and social inclusion which focuses more on the needs of the children. TIF is NOT a financial assistance scheme but an advocacy effort to look for longer-term solutions to mitigate system barriers and supporting the transnational families to be self-sustaining.

Transnational lower income families with children and young persons under the families’ care, and

with at least one family member in the household who is a Singaporean Citizen/Permanent Resident

(PR) (TIF is open to looking at families with exceptional needs that fall out of this criterion), may apply

to be supported by the funds. The needs of the families are assessed in the following priority:

(i) Immediate needs: Children’s education and health related matters as priority

(ii) Mid-term needs: Employment, income generation, legal support, and other arising related concerns.

(iii) Long term needs: Advocacy and supporting families to be self-sustaining.

Manager, The Inclusive Fund (TIF) – Part-time position (~ 3 days/ week)

We are looking for passionate individuals committed to the cause of enabling socially disadvantage low-income families and communities realise their aspirations of getting out of the poverty cycle, with focus on bridging gaps of transnational lower income families with children and young persons under the families’ care through our existing The Inclusive Fund (TIF) programme.

This is a levelling inclusion and bridging gaps initiative, and we are seeking professionals with experience in delivering a holistic work in supporting transnational families through coordinating and implementation of the fund disbursement process and track progress, implement high impact programme through the TIF and work in collaboration internally with other programme teams as well as co-ordinating efforts with internal and externals stakeholders such as other FSCs/ SSAs or organisations working with transnational families.

The Manager will be responsible for community outreach/engagement efforts supporting transnational families, coordinate referrals from referring agencies on TIF applications for the fund committee for approvals and follow up, forge close and trusting relationships with community stakeholders, inform and improve TIF practices, donor management and reporting, and development of the TIF initiative to address needs.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supporting implementation strategy of The Inclusive Fund (TIF) related activities
• Develop and plan Community outreach/ engagement efforts supporting transnational families
• Coordinate and facilitate referrals from referring agencies on TIF applications for committee approvals and presentations
• Assist the TIF committee to coordinate and implement regular meetings, committee approval meetings where necessary
• Network and develop relationships for donor and partnership networks to support and enable transnational families
• Develop and forge close and trusting relationships with both internal and external community stakeholders for the purposes of The Inclusive Fund and monitor fund disbursements donor management or reporting
• Inform, improve and development of The Inclusive Fund practices/ initiative to address and bridge evolving needs of transnational families
