Requirements:

• Bachelor/ Master of Engineering with minimum 5 years relevant experience
• 3D solid Modeling, preferably Pro-E (others like Solid Edge, Auto Inventor, Mechanical Desktop, Solid Designer are also acceptable).
• Strong project management skills
• Good track record in:

1. Ultra High Precision machine design
2. High Speed Pick and Place mechanism design
3. Structural, kinematics and dynamic analysis and FEA simulation
4. Geometrical tolerance and dimensional analysis (e.g. stack up error)
5. Engineering material selection
6. Design troubleshooting
7. Application of analysis tools like FMEA, DOE

Duties of Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor:

• Supervise in-house contractors and vendors to ensure safe and efficient execution of mechanical tasks.
• Develop and update maintenance plans and schedules to minimize production disruptions.
• Analyze equipment performance to identify issues and propose improvements.
• Ensure maintenance plans meet engineering standards and compliance with regulations.
• Prepare maintenance documentation, including checklists and risk assessments.
• Achieve maintenance KPIs and support technician training and development.
• Manage manpower, including overtime and emergency planning.
• Oversee spare parts and warehouse activities, including stock management and ordering.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 4 years in automotive, manufacturing, machine shop, or assembly environments. Proven experience in engineering design, analysis, and developing 3D solid models (SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO).
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles, material processing techniques, and BOM management (automotive, aerospace, or rail industries).
• Experience in an engineering release and change management environment is an advantage. Familiarity with automotive terminology, vehicle systems, and build processes is a plus.
• Proficient in ERP applications, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and team motivation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in project management methodologies, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear, concise reporting and technical documentation.
