• Manage a team of supervisors, workers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure tasks are completed within the designated time frame.

• Completion of the Building Construction Safety Supervisor course and any other relevant WSH certifications.
• Experience in MEP design is an advantage.

You will be responsible for repairing and servicing various equipment and engines (Cummins, Volvo, Perkins, Man, Caterpillar, and Deutz) as scheduled by the Service Manager. Requirements:

•BSc, MSc, PhD, or researcher with Min. 3 - 8 years’ experience.

•Knowledge of power electronics topologies and design – flyback, boost PFC, LLC, PSFB.

•Experience designing CC/CV charger systems and working on power supplies with power levels >500W.

•Working experience in schematic design and PCB layout software, e.g. OrCAD, PADS, or other equivalent software

•Familiar with simulation tools, e.g. LTspice, PSIM, or other equivalent software

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects;
Analyze and evaluate project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and associated costs;

Quantity Take-off
Perform quantity take-offs for materials and labour required for MEP installations;
Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and comprehensive quantity assessments;

Budgeting and Cost-control
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle;
Monitor and report on cost variations, providing recommendations for cost-saving measures;

Tendering and Procurement
Assist in the preparation of tender documents and participate in the procurement process;
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitiveness and adherence to project requirements;

Contract Administration
Administer and manage contracts related to MEP works, including variations and claims;
Monitor contractual compliance and resolve any disputes that may arise during the project;

Value Engineering
Identify opportunities for value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality;
Work closely with design and construction teams to implement value engineering recommendations;

Risk Management
Identify and assess potential risks related to cost and contract issues;
Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success;

Cost Reporting
Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed of project financial status;
Provide analysis and recommendations based on cost reporting data;

Collaboration

Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders;
Participate in project meetings and contribute to the overall success of the project;

Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in MEP construction;
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices;

Ad-Hoc
Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work;
Other Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the HOD.

• Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying / Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.
