As part of the national HealthierSG initiative to transform the way healthcare is delivered, NUHS Regional Health System Office (RHSO) is setting up a Care and Call Centre (CareHub) to support the western population through phone calls, telemedicine and digital communication platforms to become healthier and take charge of own health.

You will be responsible to helm CareHub in line with CareHub’s service standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver a positive customer experience for residents and community partners who reach in to CareHub for support to age well in the community. The job scope would include referrals to community partners, facilitating community appointments, conducting outbound nudges to encourage participation in screening and vaccination to assisting residents and community partners with navigation of the healthcare landscape.

Job Purpose

The Professional Officers Division (POD) houses a centralized pool of academic staff under the Professional Officers scheme. Professional Officers come with specialised and deep technical skills acquired through extensive industry experience. They form the talent pool which brings a much-needed industry perspective to student learning. They facilitate applied learning and applied research in SIT, complementing the academic expertise of the faculty to bring industry practices and applications into the curriculum.

Professional Officers leverage on their industry experiences to create authentic learning environments, where discovery and innovation take place. They act as coaches and mentors to students during practical learning activities such as laboratory sessions, Capstone Projects and the Integrated Work Study Programme (IWSP). • Ensure work activities comply with the Workplace Safety and Health act, related legislation and other relevant requirement
• Assist in planning, implementation and maintenance of SETSCO's OHS Management System in accordance witj SS iso 45001 and BizSAFE Star
• Assist with safety program implementation at the workplace towards safety culture development
• Oversee and lead the contractors in the implementation of Company's safety systems
• Liase closely with staff/Managers/Government Regulatory Authorities on all EHS Matters
• Conduct periodic safety inspection of workplace and review RIsk Assessments
• Carry out incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented
• Inspect and rectify any unsafe practices and conditions at workplace
• Maintain and update safety related documentations / records
• Conduct Safety training and/or briefing to staff
• Assist to organise WSH campaign and safety related activities
• Assist to organise monthly Safety (WSH) Committee meeting (s)
• Participate in the preparation for Audit and follow up on the actions needed from the audit findings
• Assist Safety Management Representative / Registered WSH Officer on safety (WSH) matters
• Coordinate Implementation of Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans
• Take on any safety related and other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must possess relevant safety (WSH) certificate such as Advanced Certificate in WSH, or Specialist Diploma in WSH or equivalent
• Knowledge of SS iso45001 / BizSAFE Star preferred
• Works well under pressure with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Others or equivalent.
• At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

The areas of focus include (i) biosurveillance of the diversity, distribution, and ecology of rodents and their associated pathogens, and (ii) development of integrated mitigation strategies. Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Zoology, or a related life sciences field, preferably with training in public health.

• Knowledge in the systematics, biology, ecology, and field surveillance of vectors (including rodents) and their associated pathogens
• Experience in or a willingness to learn animal dissection techniques
• Familiarity with molecular biology techniques and interest in working in high-containment laboratories
• Basic knowledge of biostatistics and use of statistical software
• Possessing a valid class 3 license and willingness to drive NEA's vehicle to field sites is preferred
• Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and contribute to the translation of research into public health policy and operations
• Good organisational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication (written and oral) skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple tasks
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
