The R&D Packaging Engineer will be a part of the newly formed Sustainability Center of Excellence (COE) located in BD Singapore. The Sustainability COE is modeled after the Sustainable Medical Technology Institute (SMTI) and will have the same mandate as the SMTI. In this role, the Packaging Engineer will be responsible for execution of the broader R&D Sustainability strategy at BD. This individual will help integrate sustainability focus into programs for making changes to current products and to new product development programs in all 8 BD businesses. Job Overview

The Regional CFO will oversee financial performance management, strategic financial planning, and operational efficiency for the Asia-Pacific region across 11 countries. This role requires a proactive leader capable of driving results, ensuring financial alignment with corporate goals, and managing a diverse and multicultural team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Business Performance Management

• Monitor and evaluate weekly/monthly sales, market shares, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Asia-Pacific region.
• Ensure alignment of sales subsidiary performance to corporate objectives through effective coordination with financial planning teams in each country.
• Analyze gaps between actual performance and various financial targets (e.g., Moving Plans, Basic Plans).
• Regularly review and report on market share trends across the region to provide actionable insights to top management.

2. Reporting and Analysis

3. Budget Management and Control

• Lead the annual budget planning process for the region, ensuring precision and alignment with corporate targets.

• Collaborate closely with Corporate Marketing teams to monitor and adjust marketing budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.

4. Leadership and Team Coordination

• Serve as a key point of contact between HQ and Asia-Pacific sales subsidiaries for business performance updates and issue resolution.
• Guide and mentor financial planning teams across the region to maintain high performance standards.
• Build and sustain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including planning teams, product managers, and senior executives.

Requirements

1. Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management (MBA preferred).

2. Professional Experience, Skills & Competencies:

• Over 20 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Planning, or Strategic Financial Management.
• Proven track record in managing diverse teams across multiple countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Claims Service

• Work within local and regional on operating processes and claim handling procedures to ensure that quality claim service is rendered to all customers in accordance with Claims Philosophy.
• Attend to claim enquiries and feedback, maintain positive relationship with all customers, brokers, service providers etc,
• Use external resources in accordance with the guidelines and philosophies. This includes the engagement of appropriate service providers where required and management of such providers and cases towards the timely and effective resolution of the matter.

Claims Quality

• Manage and handle claims to finality within designated Settlement Authority and Claims Management Guidelines, including timely action, appropriate investigation, regular case reviews and proper evaluation are taken in all claims.
• Ensure that loss reserves are set and maintained in accordance with guidelines, timely updates of claims data made into systems and correctness of systems and file records,
