EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED

• Min 2 years of experience in application security vulnerability assessment, analysis and remediation

• Experience in agile development environment will be an added advantage

• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery, using Gitlab or other similar tools will be an added advantage

• Experience in public cloud providers such as GPC, GCC (i.e. AWS, Azure,Google Cloud) will be an added advantage

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

This role will be responsible for our Product Application Lab for Semiconductor applications. Working closely with the Sales team and global technical resources, the selected candidate will support the development and growth of Semiconductor industry products in the region, focused on Southeast Asia. The initial focus will be on Strip, Etch, and Clean (SEC) solutions, but will also grow to include the Elevate® line of electroplating products. Specifically, the duties will include:

• Having a deep understanding of Technic products for the Semiconductor industry,
• Keeping abreast of industry developments and market position/performance of comparable competitive products.
• Working with Sales team to select appropriate customer and application targets
• Visiting customers across the territory to understand their equipment, process, and product performance requirements.
• Starting-up and operating the Technic Wafer Processing and Failure Analysis lab
• Conducting product functional performance testing & measurements either on-site or coordinating with other Regions to generate test results remotely.
• Advising on laboratory upgrades needed to better serve customers
• Liaising with customers during qualification tests and providing trouble-shooting advice after installation
• Recommending the best product for the application based on product experience and/or laboratory trials
• Hiring and supervising at least one technician to maintain the lab and support customer trials
• Developing specifications and facility recommendations for local manufacturing of SEC products, either at Technic or third-party facilities
• Advise on hiring and lead training of operators for local manufacturing
• Set operating procedures, quality targets and release specifications for any eventual locally made semiconductor products
• Developing external collaborations with co-suppliers, Universities, or Government Research Institutes to strengthen our offering, improve our market visibility, or secure funding to advance our product offerings.

Requirement

• The role may require regular travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Thailand (1-2 times per month) & less frequent travel to France and the US (1-2 times per year)

About The Team

TikTok's Recommendation Architecture Team is responsible for real-time computing direction, handling the design and development of real-time computing systems for TikTok videos, live streams, e-commerce, and a billion-user product recommendation system. Their main focus is ensuring system stability and high availability. They abstract general real-time computing systems, build a unified recommendation feature middleware, and implement a flexible and scalable high-performance storage system and computing model. This enables advanced real-time data systems for deduplication, counting, feature services, and other recommendation-related business needs.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement real-time (streaming computing) data systems for large-scale recommendation systems.

- Create flexible, scalable, stable, and high-performance storage systems and computing models.

- Troubleshoot production system failures, design and implement necessary mechanisms and tools to ensure overall stability of the production systems

- Construct industry-leading streaming computing frameworks and other distributed systems to provide reliable infrastructure for massive data and large-scale business systems

- Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.

- Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

- Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.

- Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

- Final year or recent graduate with a background in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline

- Strong coding and troubleshooting skills; Proficient in programming languages like Java, C++, Scala, Python.

- Deep understanding of streaming computing systems, with formal production experience in developing TB-level Flink real-time computing systems. Proficient in modules like FlinkDataStream, FlinkSQL, FlinkCheckpoint, FlinkState, and preferably with experience in reading Flink source code.

- Experience in data lake development is preferred. Familiar with at least one data lake technology such as Hudi, Iceberg, DeltaLake, and preferably with experience in reading their source code.

- Willingness to tackle problems without clear answers, with a strong passion for learning new technologies.

- Familiarity with other big data systems is preferred, including YARN, K8S, Spark, SparkSQL, Kudu, and others.

- Experience in storage systems such as Hbase, Cassandra, RocksDB.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in handling PB-level data is a plus.
