Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure the completion of engineering maintenance and calibration work for the entire manufacturing facility.
• Troubleshoot and provide technical support to a team of maintenance and calibration specialists on shift to perform engineering maintenance and repair of facilities and manufacturing equipment in support of plant operations.
• Provide support to manufacturing, utility and engineering services during routine and shutdown maintenance work; and product change over in support of plant operations.
• Performs timely review and technical completion of work orders, initiate follow up work order and notification as required.
• Provide support to Project Engineering Team to deliver project within stipulated timeline and budget.
• Partner with Quality and UPE owner to ensure timely closure of UPE records and related follow up actions.
• Analyze/create preventive maintenance procedures and/or practices to comply with regulatory codes, specifications, standards and corporate guidelines for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant to ensure validity, efficiency, maximum production equipment uptime.
• Work with Reliability team to establish predictive maintenance program for the facility such as Thermal Scanning (IR), Ultrasonic, Vibration Monitoring etc
• Increase the mean time between failure (MTBF) of equipment by identifying and eliminating the causes for recurring issues and to implement robust solutions.
• Partner with the Maintenance and Calibration team to reduce mean time to repair (MTTR).
• Assist with continuous improvement project (Kaizen) and initiate change request to optimize maintenance/calibration activities if required.
• Review engineering specifications and design modification proposals to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
• Coordinate with MRO storeroom personnel to establish and maintain the proper stocking levels of parts and equipment required to provide maximum equipment uptime at the lowest possible costs.
• Carries out any other work and task as directed by Supervisor.

Qualifications (education/experience/knowledge/skills/competencies)

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Marine, Electrical/ Instrumentation or Chemical Process Engineering with at least 1-2 years experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing will be desirable.
• Candidates with 1-2 years hands-on maintenance working experience in Pharmaceutical or Chemical manufacturing and experience in project start-up will be preferred.
• Strong background in Operation and Maintenance of equipment and instruments in the production and utility area will be preferred.
• Experience in setting up SAP Maintenance Program, spare parts store, project start-up environment and safety procedures/practices is an added advantage.
• Excellent computer skills including but not limited to CMMS software, spreadsheets and word processing software.
• Excellent analytical problem solving skills and persistence to resolve outstanding issues.

Carry out maintenance activities such as:

• Servicing of equipment such as centrifugal pump, diaphragm pump, replacement of mechanical seal, pump alignment, rigging & lifting.
• Perform repairs and other maintenance activities to specified specs and standards per procedure.
• Able to perform predictive maintenance and data collection for field equipment
• Able to perform QC equipment maintenance and troubleshooting such as freezer and incubator.
• Attend to equipment breakdown and preventive maintenance on short notice during weekends/public holidays.
• Support equipment inspection with vendor representative on tanks, column, pipelines and centrifuge as per RSTO Visual Inspections standards.
• Repair and replace damaged parts to bring equipment back into service timely to support continuous production planning.
• Perform minor piping modification and rebuild of MRO spare part.
• Perform polishing and passivation of vessel internal surfaces according to RSTO procedure.
• Maintain all machine shop tools and equipment such as, and not limited to, welding set, working tooling, lifting gear.
• To actively participate and perform workplace 5S housekeeping.
• Able to contribute and implement Safety Improvement Ideas for CI projects works together with System/Equipment Engineers.
• Perform tasks as defined in the Maintenance Work Orders for assigned equipment or system.

Key responsibilities:

• Learn and perform well-defined procedures within a GMP manufacturing setting

• Perform basic laboratory tasks (e.g. sampling, pH/ conductivity/ osmolality measurements etc.)
• Perform routine sanitization tasks to maintain facility standards
• Trained & signed off on Performance Measures (PMs) relating to CIP/ SIP/ basic tank & instrument operations
• Demonstrate aseptic technique in the handling of product/ materials
• Perform basic process & equipment troubleshooting

• Attain full competency in the performance of all operations relevant to manufacturing areas assigned.

Purification (Downstream large scale)

• Skill and knowledge of column chromatography techniques, tangential flow filtration techniques, micro/Nano filtration techniques, pH/Conductivity adjustment techniques, aseptic techniques.
• Technical knowledge on the chromatography operating interface example using UNICORN software and various DeltaV control parameters for chromatography and UF operation.
• Knowledge in single use applications for the respective processes.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Act as internal consultant to business stakeholders (Finance and Treasury)
• Providing specialist advice as a Subject Matter Expert to stakeholders on complex system & process issues in the Banking and Treasury Area.
• Identifying new alternative and innovative approaches for improving business activities and systems while challenging why out of the box solution doesn’t meet the requirements.
• Supporting the implementation and enhancement of various systems, including S4 HANA, Finastra, Banking Portals and Payments Solution.
• Be the technical resource in the treasury and banking area to makes changes to the system
• Establishing and maintaining strong, strategic partnerships with vendors and service suppliers.
• Awareness and guidance of country/region specific legal and mandatory requirements impacting technology deployment or operations.
• Foster a collaborative environment between business stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant departments (e.g., design, quality assurance) to ensure a shared understanding of product goals and progress.
• Continuously refine and evolve the product based on changing market conditions, technological advancements, and business needs. Seek opportunities to enhance the product's value.
• Collaborate with other product owners, business analysts, and project managers to ensure alignment and consistency across different IT projects and initiatives.

About you

Essential:

• At least 5 years’ consulting/support experience in similar industry with a dynamic global organisation, with repeated practice performing Project and Product Enhancement in SAP or similar systems.
• Hands-on experience in Design, Configuration and support of SAP FI, CO, and Treasury and Banking.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Capable to see the overall picture and how individual actions fit within it.
• Proficient in staying informed of technological developments and understand their applicability to Dyson business problems and opportunities.
• Able to identify technology, functionality and methods that could be of significant benefit to Dyson and drive those through into successful implementation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements.
• Ability to prioritize improvements based on the business benefit.
• Experience of business stakeholder management

The Career Conversion Programme (CCP) (Train-and-Place) for Advanced Biopharmaceuticals Manufacturing Executives/Professionals is a talent development programme aimed at building the next generation of skilled manpower for Singapore’s Biopharmaceuticals manufacturing industry in anticipation of hiring demand. This programme is jointly supported by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) and Workforce Advancement Federation (WAF). The training programme consists of 15 months of local attachment with Roche.

Who are we looking for?

• Candidates with 2 years working experience and above. Not in a similar job function prior to joining this TnP Programme.

Job Overview:

• Perform routine and ad-hoc environmental monitoring (EM) of critical utilities such as HVAC/BSC/VLFH/HLFH, water systems, compressed air/gas system and personnel monitoring
• Lab testing of EM samples in accordance with cGMP regulations and Roche/Genentech standards.
• Support manufacturing operations by timely completion of testing and disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical and Functional:

• Perform EM which includes HVAC/BSC/VLFH/HLFH monitoring, compressed gas, personnel monitoring, water and clean steam sampling in accordance to cGMP procedures.
• Perform testing and review of routine and non-routine environmental monitoring samples in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Documentation and review of results in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and/or documents in accordance with cGMP Procedures.
• Prepare EM trend graph periodically for trend data analysis.
• Operate laboratory autoclave and EM testing equipment.
• General lab support including housekeeping, equipment maintenance, document archival, maintaining logbooks and inventory of lab supplies, etc.
• Perform daily checks in EM LIMS to ensure all assigned EM tasks are completed and/or tested on time.
• Initiate discrepancy record for EM action excursion, adverse trend and/or discrepant event.
• Carry out assignments / projects given by Supervisor. Deliver results per plans / schedules.
• Communicate all problems / issues timely to Supervisor.
• Suggest improvements to streamline / facilitate workflows.
• Participate in internal / external audits and regulatory inspections.
• Responsible for ensuring that all training required to support / perform GMP activities are completed timely.
• Monitor and keep track of inventory stocks for laboratory consumables and items required.
• Perform sample receipt and storage of QC samples.

Leadership:

• Work co-operatively with the Head of Micro/EM and QC Supervisor to create an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communications. Strive towards team’s objectives / goals, takes the initiative and proactively turn ideas into action – to make things happen.
