About the role

Job Scope:

Emcee:

• Serve as the emcee for funeral services, ensuring a dignified and empathetic atmosphere
• Develop and deliver eulogies, announcements, and other spoken segments in both English and Mandarin
• Coordinate with speakers, musicians, and other participants to ensure a seamless funeral service
• Demonstrate cultural competence by incorporating appropriate rituals and customs into the ceremony.
• Any ad-hoc tasks as required

Ops Crew:

• Collection and transportation of deceased
• Driving and operating company vehicles, including funeral hearses
• Preparation of coffin and encoffining
• Perform various essential tasks during the funeral process, and assist funeral advisors in serving bereaved families.
• Loading and unloading of heavy items/ coffins
• Assemble and disassemble funeral wake set up
• Maintenance, cleanliness and tidiness of company vehicles, premises, goods and equipment
• Upholding service standard and professional image of company
• Maintaining courteous manner with all customers, vendors, and colleagues
• Perform night shift standby duties
• Any ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

• Able to do shift work and work overtime when needed
• Valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License is required
• Fluency in english and mandarin to liaise with chinese speaking clients
• Able to handle physical work and lift heavy items
• Empathetic in dealing with bereaved families
• Team-player
• Experience in this industry is a bonus, but not required

Responsibilities:

Job Scope: Training Operations Manager

As a Training Operations Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of life skills training programmes in primary and secondary schools in Singapore. You will manage operations in three core areas: curriculum curation and development, manpower development and logistics management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum Curation and Development

• Craft, Curate and Develop Curriculum:
  • Ensure all training materials are up-to-date and aligns with MOE (Ministry of Education) standards and collaboration with the curriculum development team.
  • Design and customize life skills training modules and materials to meet the specific needs of primary and secondary school students.
  • Oversee the processing of curriculum accreditation and certification with relevant organizations.
  • Oversee the distribution of training materials to trainers in a timely and organized manner.
• Vetting and Quality Assurance:
  • Review existing training programmes and materials to ensure quality, relevance and consistency.
  • Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate improvements into the curriculum.
• Research and Development:
  • Maintain a comprehensive database of training resources, lesson plans and guides for trainers.
  • Work closely with the curriculum development team to ensure that updates are made based on feedback and the latest industry trends.
  • Attend upgrading external courses/events to keep our resources abreast to new developments.

2. Manpower Development

• Recruitment and Management:
  • Collaborate with the HR team to recruit skilled and experienced freelance trainers with expertise in delivering life skills training.
• Training and Development:
  • Facilitate communication between the curriculum development team and trainers, ensuring the curriculum is effectively designed delivered and any feedback for improvement is promptly addressed.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to familiarize freelance trainers with curriculum objectives, delivery methods, and project expectations.
  • Assist in the integration of updates or changes into the current training modules.
  • Host detailed briefing sessions for trainers before the deployment of each project.
  • Onboarding of new updates and upgrades to training resources to both teams.
• Performance Monitoring:
  • Oversee and evaluate trainer performance during and after project implementation, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Track and evaluate trainer performance, providing feedback and areas of improvement.
  • Coordinate with the Head of Training to address any challenges faced by trainers or to enhance training methodologies.
  • Design and recommend training programmes for trainer’s and internal team’s development.
  • Prepare reports detailing training activities, trainer evaluations, and any issues or recommendations.
  • Recommend new programmes to be developed based on the needs of our audience.
  • Collect feedback from trainers regarding the curriculum, training resources, and logistics.
  • Recommend and organize ongoing professional development sessions for trainers and curriculum development team.

3. Logistics Management

• Project Planning:
  • Develop detailed logistical plans for training delivery, considering the scope, timeline, and resource needs of each school project.
  • Liaise with schools to confirm logistical requirements and timelines.
• Resource Sourcing:
  • Source and procure training materials, equipment, and other necessary resources within budget and project timelines.
  • Manage inventory of reusable materials and ensure proper storage and replenishment.
• On-Site Coordination:
  • Ensure timely delivery of all materials and resources to training locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve logistical challenges during project execution.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of training experience with MOE Primary and Secondary school.
• Proven experience in curriculum development, manpower coordination, and logistics management.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with trainers, schools, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the education landscape in Singapore, particularly primary and secondary schools.
• Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Local importer and exporter of steel cargoes.

Assist in loading and unloading of cargoes (overhead cranes and forklifts).

Check sizes and specifications of cargoes against documentation.

Work place in Senoko area.

Work week Monday to Friday.

Work hours 0800hrs to 1740hrs.

Candidate with forklift licence would be preferred.

• Manage all inquiries and maritime cargo operations
• Keep an eye on client and vendor emails, calls, and texts.
• Obtain DO from client and respond to email
• Verify the stock availability on DO and notify the customer.
• Make contact with the appropriate agency and share contact details and emails with them.
• If necessary, make plans to pick up supply from nearby vendors.
• Keep track of inventory for movement in and out.
• Keep a watchful eye on the supply boat and vessel arrival status.
• Verify the boat arrangements if necessary.
• Set up the paperwork and transportation for loading
• Make sure the customer is updated with all additional costs.
• Retrieve the endorsed vessel. DO once loading is complete.
• File all paperwork correctly after the project is finished
• Any additional ad hoc tasks that management assigns

Responsibilities:

• Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to enhance service delivery and troubleshoot any OTN-related issues.
• Troubleshooting of Optical devices such as Ciena 6500 and Infinera GX40 in Hut, PoPs and Datacenter.
• Handle dark fiber maintenance and any other queries raised by OSP
• Day-to-day activities involve working on multiple vendor troubleshooting various software and hardware issues
• Support team in handling optical devices for any incidents such as hardware failure, power outage, major fiber event and etc.
• Coordinate with smart hands and optical equipment manufacturers to resolve issues and restore service.
• Work with ISP/vendors on fixing any issues related to the network, such as RMA process and fiber repair.
• Knowledgeable on performing and reading the analysis/outcome of the OTDR testing.
• Monitor Optical Long Haul and Metro networks and troubleshoot a variety of issues in a timely manner.Perform fault isolation based on the troubleshooting outcome.
• Partner with and escalate to, various internal teams in pursuant of restoring service and limiting impact.Manage and escalate critical events while communicating clearly and concisely.
• Document and optimize operational processes and procedures.Contribute to the creation of monitors, alerts, dashboards and metrics to drive continuous improvements.
• Document and follow RMA processes and procedures for all relevant vendors.
• Work cross-functionally and cross-regionally with other optical and network operational support teams. Some weekend work may be required.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Builds productive internal and external working relationships.
• Understanding of fiber-optic technology including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to work with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs around the world
• Working knowledge of ROADM, coherent transponders and long-haul operation optical networks
• Understanding of Optical layer (L0/L1) traffic reliability configurations using Protection and/or Restoration schemes including pros/cons
• Knowledge on DWDM device, its component and familiar with the CLI command.
• Knowledge of Dark fiber testing and light level testing.
• Knowledge of Network and Networking protocols.
