A. JOB SCOPE/ KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Overview

The senior operations supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the overall operational aspects of SPD’s Hospitality Enclave Project under the Supported Employment Programme.

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including trainees, employers, and the supported employment team, to ensure the smooth execution of the project, leading to the outcomes of achieving meaningful employment and independence for persons with disabilities.

The ideal candidate should possess a blend of relevant qualifications, work experience, and skillsets to effectively oversee the operational aspects of the project, while being heavily involved in the vocational training and job placement for the trainees.

Key Responsibilities

1. Management ofTrainees: Upskill trainees to achieve the outcomes of the project and customers and identify and resolve challenges faced by trainees.

2. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders to provide recommendations and suggestions to improve trainees’ performance, address any issues that may arise during the training period and achieve the agreed outcomes.

3. Attendance Monitoring: Track trainees’ attendance to ensure compliance with programme requirements.

Lab Resource Management:

• Maintain and ensure all lab equipment is operational and serviceable.
• Manage requests for lab facility use and resource allocation.
• Propose budgets for equipment replacement and maintain consumable supplies.

Asset & Inventory Management:

• Maintain an updated record of all lab assets.
• Manage asset loans, transfers, and disposals as needed.

Technical Support:

• Provide setup and configuration support for lab equipment.
• Administer servers, virtual desktop environments, and cloud services.
• Provide technical support and ensure compliance with IT policies.

Research & Teaching Support:

• Assist faculty and students in sourcing and evaluating lab equipment.
• Support the procurement, receipt, and verification of equipment.

Systems & Infrastructure Management:

• Manage and support the School’s GPU computing clusters and STEM applications.
• Monitor and maintain centralized computing equipment and infrastructure.

Safety & Security:

• Ensure lab safety and security, and manage access rights for users.

Additional Support:
