My client, an investment bank is seeking experience to join their Operation Team.
The team covers key functions in the FICC market, providing comprehensive front-to-back support for the business and clients. Handle Middle Office Functions to ensure trading risk accuracy and timely resolution of trade flow exceptions; Confirmations and Drafting Functions to legally confirm our clients' trades and ensure accurate booking; and Settlements Functions to ensure timely settlement of all derivative transactions, meeting client expectations. Perform various operational reconciliations to guarantee accurate and flawless trade flow.
Works closely with global colleagues to facilitate these functions, supporting a range of products from complex structured transactions to simpler trades. Team members must develop strong product, industry, and technical knowledge to facilitate transaction flow and anticipate and avoid potential trade problems. This role requires seamless switching between multiple activities and significant client interaction, making communication a key asset. You will engage in a fast-paced setting, interacting with other Operations teams, Compliance, Credit, and Technology to resolve issues arising from trade execution, client queries, and new business. We seek a strong candidate to drive workflow improvement across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with internal teams—Sales, Trading, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and other Operations teams—to ensure issue resolution and timely drafting of legal confirmations.
Perform legal confirmation drafting for Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Derivatives Transactions.
Assist the Asia FX/IRP Drafting team in delivering strategic global initiatives and supporting the Asia/Global Business.
Become a subject matter expert to mitigate risk and drive efficiencies.
Build a skill set that covers front-to-back functions.
Design and initiate process improvements, leveraging Business Intelligence and Automation.
Build relationships with global peers to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
Work with the team to continually review and improve processes, manage risk, and meet expectations for timeliness, quality, and cost-effectiveness within the department.
Qualification :-
Degree & Prior experience in Operations.
Proactive, enthusiastic, and creative approach with a high attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Highly collaborative and team-focused with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals.
Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to use discretion and good judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of the Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates market and derivatives, including the current regulatory environment, is beneficial.
Intellectual curiosity.
Ability to remain composed under pressure.
Experience in ISDA Documentation.
Competency with the MS Suite, especially Excel, and the ability to learn multiple programs quickly.
This is a 6 months contract role with possibilities of extension
