Position Overview:
The Operations & Commercial Effectiveness Senior Manager will report directly to the General Manager of Asia Pacific to execute sales strategies that deliver results aligned with the commercial plan and manage operations and channel management. Collaborate effectively with functions such as sales, marketing, finance, commercial operations, IT and HR to anticipate challenges and remove obstacles to enable commercial impact.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual strategic planning to analyze sales regions and territories
- Work with APAC Leadership Team to liaison between commercial operations, sales, marketing, comm ops, finance and all other internal functions impacting the commercial team in driving and fulfilling the following responsibilities:
- Help identify and deliver on the needs of the commercial organization to successfully drive initiatives
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with APAC GM with Commercial Leaders and Distributors
- Manage monthly and quarterly business reviews, coordinate with stakeholders and ensure follow through with key initiatives that impact commercial strategy
- Partner with APAC Commercial Leaders in monitoring and increasing the sales force engagement though recognition, incentives, and surveys
- Assess current distribution & 4PL strategy and execute channel optimization projects in key markets by assessing margins and J&J network to ensure infrastructure supports strategy
- Conduct quarterly distribution reviews with stock and sales analysis and implement good distribution practices
- Ensure distribution/channel contracts and contracts with external parties and vendors are up to date
- Execute key channel/operations projects like the Korea J&J model
- Collaborate with Aachen/US counterparts to implement a long-term APAC supply and operations process
- Provide relevant analytics to the commercial team to guide strategic commercial plan
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required, Masters in related field or MBA preferred
- 10+ years of high-performance experience in the medical device cardiovascular space
- 5+ years of management experience of a field commercial team preferably within Abiomed
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders internal and external
- Demonstrated critical thinking in fast paced environment
- Ability to exercise judgment in selecting, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
