As a Non-Volatile Memory QRA (NVMQRA) Managed NAND (mNAND) Qual EFA Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will you will be responsible for supporting electrical failure analysis from quality and reliability trials of Micron Managed NAND products during product qualification. You will analyze the units that did not pass the required quality and reliability trials. You are expected to conduct failure analysis from qualification, evaluation and OQRM failures and report the resulting data. • Perform Failure Analysis (FA) of rejects from Quality and Reliability Trials
• Perform initial FA, including debug data capture and analysis

You will take part in the management of product qualification events, through participation in Product Development Team meetings (PDT) with global cross-functional teams, define qualification approaches and prescribe qualification plans through risk assessments made from insights from the PDT meetings. In this role you will work with various Engineering and Quality Reliability Assurance Groups to provide technical support, expertise, consultation and training. You should expect to support customers both internal and external to Micron on an on-going basis.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Manage Micron Managed NAND products during the Product Qualification stage.

• Finding solutions and resolutions for problems encountered during Qualification, through reject failure analysis, problem solving and pursuing the necessary corrective action/preventive actions.
• Lead discussions with various Engineering and Quality Reliability Assurance Groups to provide innovative solutions to issues encountered during the qualification process.
• Manage and coordinate various inputs from various stakeholders in Quality Reliability; collaborating with discrete product component and package quality and reliability team for Qual plans, Product Qual Notices and Customer Reports.
• Provide general product quality and reliability expertise, to provide consultation for qualifications, audits, RMA, and customer issues.

Additional Job Description

Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies technical quality assurance protocols/methods to inspect and test in-process raw materials, production equipment, and finished products. Ensures activities and items are in compliance with both company quality assurance standards and applicable government regulations. Performs analysis and identifies trends in the inspection of finished products, in-process materials and bulk raw materials, and recommends corrective actions when necessary. Ensures that established manufacturing inspection, sampling and statistical process control procedures are followed. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards, such as GMPs and ISO regulations. Evaluates and analyzes the efforts in organizing, documenting, and interpreting inspection support documents and records.

Provide Expertise, Consultation and Training

• Communicate Globally with NAND, Firmware, BUs and Engineering Groups for priority management
• Provide training to engineers and technicians within and outside of the group
• Maintain knowledge base (lessons learned) within the group for each SSD market segment
• Stay abreast of Quality and Reliability issues of Micron NAND components
• Provide consultation for audits, RMA, and customer issues

As a Network Supply Manager individual contributor, you will develop and execute a holistic strategy and be part of a global team dedicated to this function across all Assembly and Test manufacturing locations. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to build a comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success and improvements.

You will participate in and/or lead the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related to but not limited to supply base optimization, lead time reductions, cashflow management, cost of ownership reduction initiatives, and pricing/contract negotiations. You will also work with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve and prevent critical issues surrounding quality and delivery.

This will be done by understanding current and future needs, an analysis of market and company trends, perform and participate in the benchmarking of world-class approaches, and identify opportunities to leverage changes in processes, systems and product/services. Then prioritize and drive the implementation based upon estimating timing and level of savings captured.

Other responsibilities include ensuring department compliance to company policies and departmental procedures. You will be responsible for providing input back to leadership on the building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation on teams and projects.

This role requires close collaboration with Category Supplier Managers, Central Engineering, Planning/Industrial Engineering, Site Engineering, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders.
