Executive Search Consultant
N2Growth SE Asia executive search practice is expanding and we are looking to recruit a dynamic and aspirational individual to join our team in Singapore as an Executive Search Consultant – Director.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to grow / pivot into executive search, currently in mid or later stages of their professional career.
Ideal Profile Roles & Responsibilities
The Executive Search Consultant will be responsible to originate and acquire new clients in their respective practice sectors and more importantly to maintain a long-term relationship with existing clients and candidates. The consultant will take a hands-on approach spanning end to end execution of each respective project.
The varied nature of each project requires the consultant to use their experience to think critically and uniquely about each role, to firmly grasp client needs, and identify the most relevant executives for each project.
The role is to provide professional consultation services, understanding and recording client’s recruitment needs throughout the end-to-end execution process. The consultant shall be the main person in-charge of co-ordinating communication between client and candidates including reference checks and offer negotiations.
The consultant shall be responsible to interview and assess all target potential short-list candidates and prepare final candidate’s assessment recommendations to clients. The consultant will prepare applicants for client interview.
Executive Search Consultant Attributes
The ideal candidate will show tenacity during the pursuit of new clients and to maintain momentum throughout search projects, will demonstrate outside-of-the-box thinking, will be a self-starter, and will be a consummate sales and business professional. The candidate will have deep industry practice experience at a senior level in one or more industry sectors, or while with a retained search firm. The person will be comfortable and exude confidence while working with senior executives, both client and candidates.

Skills
The ideal candidate comes with:
- A hunter, a door opener, a professional closer proven background.
- A good understanding of senior hiring manager’s needs, with an ability to empathise with, and interpret demands to crystalise clear position statements, and realistic target profiles.
- The ability to engage potential recruits quickly and present a good face for the N2G and the client, and the position that is open.
- Clarity in providing advice and insight into candidates, and their experience, background, and compensation expectation. Ability to broker deals with complex candidates from different regions and companies, including strong negotiation skills, to be used with both candidate and client
- Judgement to parse candidates down to the smallest detail to make the call of who they will recommend to management.
- Well-versed in their practice sectors, to ensure candidates are a good fit.
- The knowledge to work on projects aimed to provide pointed market insight (i.e. compensation, organizational structure) for business development and project execution purposes.
- The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and intellectually curious, aspiring to build a successful career in Executive Search.
- The motivation to work in a fast-paced and unstructured environment, balance multiple projects and produce best in class practices in a timely manner, and under minimal guidance.
- Current knowledge or a quick learner on ATS, CRM and AI applications used throughout N2G search process, and utilise the power and value of N2Gs core platforms ensuring meticulous attention to detail through the search cycle.
- A team-orientated approach, transparent with local and global colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Degree/ Diploma in any field.
- 3-8 years of experience in a middle and senior level executive search business with some level of specialisation in a respective industry sector.
- An in-house Talent Acquisition specialist will also be eligible to apply.
- Those without executive search experience but who possess proven and successful strong origination or business development experiences within a Professional Services sector will also be considered.
- Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal coordination attributes and possess strong oral and business reporting skills.
- Confident customer facing and telephone presence.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to effectively engage with clients and candidates.
- Must be comfortable operating in a highly professional senior executive environment.
