Qualifications
Candidates must have a PhD in Media and Communication, Cultural Studies, Public Policy or closely related disciplines, with a specialisation in studying the role of new media in environment, culture, gender and/or work.

Candidates must have an excellent track record in research and teaching, and demonstrate leadership in their fields commensurate with rank.

Candidates with interdisciplinary research and industry expertise, and able to teach broadly into our undergraduate and graduate curriculum in courses such as qualitative research methods, feminist new media and cultural studies, critical informational studies, social computing and strategic communications, are especially encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities will include departmental research leadership, attracting research funding and developing research impact, mentoring junior and mid-level faculty, as well as teaching. Other duties include supervision of honours students and graduate students, and administrative service. The anticipated start date is July 2024. Remuneration is competitive and includes medical, housing, relocation and other benefits. Significant research start-up funding is available if appointed on the tenure track.

The Senior Manager, Communication will be responsible for planning and leading the full range of communication activities on print and digital platforms, maintaining brand integrity across initiatives, and delivering external and internal communication materials for the organisation. Job Requirements

The Asia Pacific Leaders Malaria Alliance (APLMA), is an alliance of Heads of Government committed to eliminate malaria and other communicable diseases in Asia Pacific, with a focus on the most vulnerable communities.

Through committed leadership and a specific investment in effective tools designed to defeat malaria for good, countries in the Asia Pacific region have halved the number of malaria cases and deaths in less than 15 years. This fight against malaria in Asia Pacific has been positive but is far from over. The Communications Manager plays an integral role in bringing APLMA’s mission and vision to further life.
