Social Media Strategist  (SG)

Maker Lab supports clients across the technology, entertainment, financial services, and payments industries. We’re looking for dynamic individuals to join our team and support our amazing real estate-focused technology client.

You will help build and manage the region's social media strategies, campaigns and content marketing. You will work closely with the APAC Social and Consumer Marketing teams when designing and delivering effective social media marketing campaigns and evergreen rollouts - from strategy, ideation, assets creation and development, execution, measurement, and day-to-day operations to overall project management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with internal and external partners to move projects towards a common business and consumer marketing goal. You will also ensure relevant content analysis is done to reach goals effectively, helping to influence future strategy. 

Role: 

• You will be responsible for always-on social content curation efforts, from research and ideation to final delivery. 
• Work with the team and create the strategic foundations to help us generate and execute impossible-to-ignore ideas for the company’s and clients’ branding, promotional campaigns, and marketing communications.
• Evaluate trends, assess new data and keep up-to-date with marketing techniques.
• You will be a vocal advocate for the newest and boldest trends in copywriting and creativity. You will be tasked to share experiences and learnings to stimulate collective growth across the consumer marketing org. 
• You should be ready to evolve, investigate, pilot and change the courses based on insights and learnings to deliver optimal performance and creative excellence.
• Drive always-on digital/social media editorial content in line with existing content strategy for Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn and Instagram.
• Partner with designers to produce visuals that are social-by-design.
• Ideate creative campaigns and executions for heat moments and product launches.
• Proactive finessing and optimisation of copy to improve social content performance.
• Lead internal sharing on creativity, copywriting and social content best practices and champion creative excellence.
• Coordinate communication across a range of regional stakeholders in a matrix organisation.
• Research industry topics to spot new content worth sharing.

You:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
• 6+ years of copywriting experience, with prior experience and a proven track record in social media and digital content strategy within an agency, consultancy or technology companies
• Able to transform large amounts of information into simple findings that the client can incorporate into their marketing efforts 
• Passionate about all things content marketing, content creation, social and creative
• Ability to work autonomously and identify opportunities in ambiguity, with a self-starter attitude in a start-up-like environment.
• Strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and constantly evolving matrix organisation.
• Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and, ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support the projects spanning APAC.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

• Work collaboratively with the content team to brainstorm and conceptualize ideas, delivering visually appealing and engaging content that continuously inspires and excites consumers through copy, design, and content angles.
• Stay current with the latest social media trends, adapting and generating innovative ideas to fulfil the objectives of various campaigns.
• Develop and execute a consistent stream of high-quality social media content aligning with VIPSHOP’s brand identity.
• Handle the setup, deployment, and execution of paid media to enhance the reach and impact of our content.

Social Community Management:

• Manage all VIPSHOP social media platforms, maintaining a consistent posting schedule and engaging actively by being highly responsive to comments, messages, and all other interactions in a timely and professional manner.
• Foster, engage, and cultivate a positive and interactive online environment reflecting the brand’s mission and slogan, developing a sense of community.
• Monitor and understand target audiences, as well as their needs and demands.

Strategy and Planning:

• Collaborate with the team to contribute to the overall social media strategy and calendar, recommending improvements.
• Conduct consumer and competitor analysis, transforming data insights into actionable recommendations to optimize content and strategies.
• Track the performance and insights of content across platforms, modifying creative concepts and working alongside Performance Marketing to leverage analytics tools for meticulous tracking and analysis of key performance metrics and well-performing content.

Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Creative team to design visually appealing paid media on a weekly basis.
• Collaborate with our dynamic team to develop and implement social media campaigns that engage and grow our audience while ensuring the alignment of messaging and content across all channels.
• Foster relationships with other teams, external vendors, and agencies as necessary.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on social media management and content creation.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Content Creator or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative content creation skills.
• Self-starter with strong project management skills, able to work independently yet effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends, with an eye for design and aesthetics.
• Knowledge of brand design, content marketing trends, and best practices.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing content strategies for consumer-facing brands or products.

As a social media executive, you are responsible for developing social content to increase followers, creating and overseeing social media campaigns, producing content and reviewing analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Create engaging and on-brand content for all social media channels such as, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Tiktok.
• Create compelling and engaging content across multiple platforms – both owned and paid
• Develop social media strategy and drive calendar planning
• Set campaign KPIs and help track benchmarks for reporting
