Requirements

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for supporting Sandpiper’s client work in Singapore and across the Asia Pacific region when required. Your role will also include:

· Draft, edit, localise, or translate editorial for a range of client communication deliverables including news releases, features, customer stories, DM material, advertorials, etc.

· Demonstrate understanding and awareness of key media; to actively sell stories into the media; and to build relationships with journalists

· Monitor and follow up editorial opportunities on behalf of clients as directed

· Assist in the delivery of agreed client programmes / actions with responsibility for providing timely and clear reporting on progress

· Attend and participate in client progress/briefing meetings where required.

· Demonstrate awareness of social media trends and advocates and assist team members in creating and implementing traditional and social media campaigns

· Conduct new business research and attend networking events for leads

· Actively deepen knowledge of clients’ business, issues, and relevant media to support teams in the delivery of overall business objectives.

· To update and maintain in-house media lists, as required

Our US HQ MNC client (travel & hospitality) is looking for Communications Manager - SEA to join their Team.

The successful candidate will work closely with the communications team members and cross-functional partners to ensure Client is front and centre in the media, telling their story to a wide range of journalists, influencers and community members, focusing on activity primarily in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Looking for a creative, collaborative and proactive communications professional who has their finger on the pulse of popular culture and the regulatory environment, an ability to navigate ambiguity, and a passion for creating newsworthy campaigns that deliver positive social and traditional media buzz, ultimately helping drive Client's reputation forward.

The role is based in Singapore and reports to the Regional Communications Lead.

Responsibilities:

● Build and execute key consumer and policy comms campaigns across Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia

● Provide reactive communications support in other parts of Southeast Asia, including but not limited to The Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.

● Work with local agencies on a day to day basis to develop and execute an extensive press office calendar for ‘always on’ drumbeat news, encompassing data and trends-based localised press pitches, media fam trips and influencer-driven activations that drive positive coverage and social media buzz.

● Devise an extensive calendar of thought leadership and corporate speaking opportunities that showcases leadership bench strength across the region, ensuring the Country Manager and Policy Leads have strong share of voice across the travel, tech and regulatory sectors

● Work closely with cross functional team stakeholders in SEA to support local business and policy priorities

● Work with media, influencers, content creators and celebrities on opportunities to promote.

● Translate global campaigns and launches into locally nuanced pitches that support Client's key business objectives in local markets across SEA

● Ensure key processes are adhered to, including coverage reporting for specific projects, filtering and translation of key global communications press materials and coverage monitoring and tracking.

Requirements:

● 8+ years communications experience working in an agency, in-house communications or a government communications role; preference to those with tech/ travel/publicly listed company experience

● Knowledge of the regulatory environment and industry landscape, and prior experience in managing policy comms for another tech/ hospitality brand

● Experience working with and executing celebrity and influencer campaigns

● Understanding of celebrity and influencer marketing and relevant market specific social media channels

● Able to produce quality work within tight deadlines, adjust quickly to changes in priorities, and keep positive and level-headed in stressful situations

Drive the successful change and communication initiatives for strategic program of work, known as “Eastspring3.0”. Eastspring3.0 is focused on building a data driven organisation. This role is accountable for the following:

Develop and execute change management strategies to support Eastspring3.0

• Develop and execute the Change Management plan for Eastspring3.0.
• Collaborate with the program leads to identify appropriate change management interventions based on a change impact analysis.
• Co-ordinate business change champions and stakeholders and lead activity and progress reporting.

Manage the development and coordination of communication activities for Eastspring3.0.

• Develop and execute a Communications and Engagement Plan for Eastspring3.0.
• Perform a stakeholder mapping exercise, including activities to test the perception of success of the stakeholders and soundness of relationships.
• Perform an assessment of the current program communications and identify areas of opportunity to increase stakeholder engagement and improve the understanding of the objectives and benefits of Eastspring3.0.

Manage the development and coordination of training activities for Eastspring3.0.

• Key Develop and execute a Training Plan for Eastspring3.0.

• Manage the positioning (and branding) of the program by articulating key program messages on an ongoing basis, throughout the lifecycle of the program.
• Ensure all Eastspring3.0 digital and offline content is aligned and consistent.
• Manage risks, issues and escalations pertaining to communications and change management.

• Proven experience in change communications and change management, within a complex transformation environment.

• Proficiency in creating and editing digital assets using graphic design and multimedia software.

• Strong organisation and analytical skills, with high-level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders, and ability to work in a hybrid-working model.
• Experience in using Unily is helpful but not essential.
• Degree in Business/Finance/HR/Communications/Marketing or related disciplines.
• 8-10 years relevant experience (Consulting/Banking/Asset management desirable).
