• Acquiring precious metals including catalytic converters, Gold & Silver within Singapore & other countries and evaluate purchasing decisions with a focus on cost efficiency to ensure that all business transactions are profitable for the company.
• Understanding the business and marketing needs for precious metals recycling.
• Utilising handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) technology to analyse Platinum Group Metals in catalytic converters as a preliminary gauge for procurement.

Educational & Professional Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma & above
• Possess Class 3 driving license
• Knowledge of using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System
• Minimum 3 years of experience with similar capacity in recycling or adjacent industries preferred
• Candidate with proven track records and good references from customers or their former employers will be favourably considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be part of the International Business (IB) team under the Commercial Development (CD) function to support FairPrice Group's Own Brands and Food Solutions (OBFS) business unit in its growth overseas. As an Assistant Manager / Manager for IB CD, he/she will report to the Director of OBFS IB CD and will work closely with different stakeholders within the IB team as well as colleagues across OBFS, such as Brand & Business Development, Sourcing, Operations in support of IB objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the IB Team in the end-to-end development and delivery of IB business plans.
• Support the IB team in the governance and PMO of strategic initiatives including the preparation of action plans, coordination of stakeholders, control towering of execution, and follow-ups.
• Support team lead in the management of overseas business partners i.e. distributors, and vendors to ensure sharp and timely in-market executions.
• Own IB team reporting including liaisons with stakeholders to facilitate.
• Support team lead in managing the IB end-to-end fulfillment process and work closely with stakeholders for issue resolutions and ensure an overall smooth process flow.

• Degree in any discipline with at least 5-8 years experience in business or commercial development experience within FMCG/CPG
• A strategic thinker with strong project management skills. Prior sales accountability & exposure to P&L would be a plus.
• Good stakeholder management and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management, and diverse sets of stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

* Inspect project sites and monitor progress, ensuring work done conforms to safety standards and design specifications while determining if changes or adjustments need to be made
* Test materials and soils to determine the strength of concrete, steel, asphalt and foundations of buildings
* Utilize computer assisted design and other drawing tools to plan and design various types of systems and structures, including roadways, buildings, water systems and tunnels
* Direct and participate in surveying activities to lay out installations and establish grades, reference points and elevations to properly guide construction
