Position Summary

Hunt and acquire new business with new accounts for regional market. Provide support to the regional and global sales teams worldwide in expanding sales of Arvato globally in the Consumer Electronics and Medical Electronics and fashion/cosmetic industries; focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Hunt for new business with primary focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution and end-to-end supply chain solutions. Create Marketing plans and execute them.
• Work with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design and Logistics Engineering on creation of competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings based on detailed and documented insight of market and client needs.
• Maintain strong connections with regional and global BD team, collaborate in generating sales lead.
• Actively participate in RFQ/RFI and work closely with Project teams until project implementation.
• Prepare reports on sales pipelines, status update to different stakeholders regularly.

Requirements

• Highly self-motivated and success-driven professional with 5-10 years of experience in solution selling & new business development (logistics / supply chain management)
• Very good understanding of logistics requirements and logistics solutions incl. warehouse design and according commercial experiences
• Detailed knowledge of the target industries (Hi-Tech, Med-Tech, Consumer Electronics and Industrial Electronics / Components industry) and according active network to key decision makers
• Have at least 10 years of experience and proven track record in sales & business development achievements in similar roles
• Experience with working in multicultural teams and willingness to constantly learn
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skill
• Ability to develop “rapport” with both internal and external customers
• At least Bachelor degree level, preferable Master level. Specialized qualifications in SCM related disciplines will be advantageous

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and assist Manager in project planning and coordination of all site activities.
• Prepare and revise engineering documents, drawings, risk assessments, method statements, safe work procedures, operations, and maintenance manuals for all necessary works.
• To issue final specification/bill of materials for purchase order and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure budget and terms and conditions of purchases are met.
• Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of goods, equipment, and fabricated items.
• Coordinate and supervise construction teams and subcontractors for the erection, testing and commissioning of installation of equipment to the required specification and quality.
• Liaise with consultants, owners, and relevant authorities on their engineering request.
• Plan and schedule work activities at sites in accordance to master program and ensure work is conducted in a timely and safe manner.
• Monitor project budget margin as set forth by the management.
• To ensure timely submission of project progress claim.
• Ad-hoc duties assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field.
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Possess keen knowledge of water and wastewater treatment technologies and the industry in general.
• Able to work independently and a multitasker/ able to cope in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Identifies, troubleshoot problems and performs root cause analysis study of equipment failures, recurring breakdown, and equipment defects in order to take effective corrective and preventive
• Liaises closely with Engineering on technical specifications required for machinery fitting, documenting the project requirements for the arrangement of machinery, equipment and system installation work
• Assists with the preparation of procedures, risk assessment, HSE work method statement and etc. under the supervision of senior team members and Project Manager to ensure all the requirements have been fulfilled
• Prepares job-list, work schedule and planning of manpower resources (i.e. yard and contractors) and facilities, working closely with the team members
• Participates in project meeting with Project team members and stakeholders to note on project specifications and report on the status of the work progress
• Liaises closely with HSE department and subcontractors for proper on-site coordination, working with QA/QC team members, owners, statutory and classification authorities on inspection arrangement and compliance review
• Maintains the equipment/ machineries at the workshop and on-board, ensuring the proper working condition, timely calibration, repair, or servicing as required
• Understands emerging engineering practices by participating in educational opportunities, professional organisations; reading professional publications and maintaining personal networks
• Recommends changes to work method/ process by reviewing the workflow and work process to implement changes for improvement and to achieve operational effectiveness and functionality

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Marine Engineering or related engineering disciplines
• Entry Level candidates are welcome to apply (On Job Training will be provided)
• Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Must be able to board ships, enter confined spaces with limited visibility and have the ability to climb up and down stairs and/or ladders of varying heights.
• Good in planning, organizing, and interpersonal skills and able to work independently
