We are looking for a senior Firmware Engineer with experience in power electronics to join us in Singapore, with opportunities to travel overseas.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development and testing of the firmware and embedded control algorithm for Xnergy wireless power and power conversion products. This includes various stages in a product’s life cycle such as concept/ architecture, prototyping, evaluation, production ready firmware, manufacturing, and maintenance.

Job Summary:

The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and management of electrical systems for FPSO projects. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient design and operation of electrical systems including power generation, distribution, and control systems on FPSO vessels. The Lead Electrical Engineer will ensure all work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical engineering design for FPSO projects, including power generation, distribution, control, and communication systems.

• Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to ensure compliance with project objectives.
• Provide technical support during the construction, installation, and commissioning phases of FPSO projects.
• Stay updated with technological advancements in electrical systems and apply innovative solutions to improve performance and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 5 years in a lead role, preferably within the oil and gas industry and FPSO projects.
• Strong knowledge of FPSO electrical systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage systems, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering software (e.g., ETAP, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC) and classification society rules (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s Register).
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with experience in troubleshooting complex electrical issues in offshore environments.
