Main purpose of the job
The Global Procurement Lead for Upstream Processes will provide leadership to the Global Procurement function in particular to the Source-To-Contract, Supplier Lifecycle Management, Risk management and potentially other upstream service lines and related to Procurement, ensuring the successful execution of functional goals. He/She will foster collaboration and knowledge sharing between regions and GPO, support the implementation of new target operating model, and ensure compliance with governance, policies, processes and ways of working, including the right level of utilization of upstream procurement tools. Additionally, the role involves advocating for sustainable procurement and innovation, and driving continuous improvement (people, process, platform, data). The Global Procurement Lead will drive operational excellence in Procurement, but will also contribute to technical competency frameworks, and lead the design and implementation of functional KPIs on a global scale.
Accountabilities and deliverables
- Provide leadership to the respective Global Procurement team(s) and oversee the definition, implementation and successful execution of functional goals in harmonized way primarily with respect to Upstream processes (including their impact on people, platform and data).
- Promote one team spirit between all regions to enable sharing of best practices and knowledge.
- Support implementation of Global Procurement People strategy and culture (incl. DEI, employee engagement and well-being).
- Design and implement adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes. Monitor process and platform adoption rate and initiate actions needed to ensure users do not bypass the target operating model.
- Protect all company’s assets by putting in place internal control system and procedures.
- Protect reputation of Asahi by following applicable legislation.
- Advocate and foster Sustainable Procurement (incl. CSR) and Procurement innovation strategies and projects.
- Support the complete definition, implementation and successful execution of category strategies.
- Manage and track agenda specific plans and budgets including objectives, key value drivers and related KPIs.
- Lead Procurement operational excellence, including its processes and systems for effective performance management and control primarily with respect to Upstream processes.
- Drive continuous improvement of Procurement capabilities and practices in alignment with the overall Asahi strategy and external benchmarks primarily with respect to the .areas of high performing Procurement Digital framework supporting Upstream processes.
- Support Procurement operations with a global scope.
- Facilitate the design and implementation of a Procurement technical competency framework for Procurement, including the delivery of relevant process and system trainings. Proactively identify and disseminate new operational methods and system knowledge across the Global Procurement community to foster engagement, communication, adoption, and compliance.
- Support data management and relevant reporting processes.
- Support globally the design and implementation of Procurement functional KPIs.
- Lead globally the design and implementation of non-compliance management.
Qualification criteria
- University degree, preferably in Business related field (master’s degree preferred)
- Proficiency in English
- 7+ years of professional experience, whereof 4+ years in procurement
- International experience from multinational company
- Experience from an above-market role
- Procurement platform/-s experience
- Advanced level of MS Office Suite
