Key Responsibilities

• Establish best practices to ensure cloud redundancy and enable data backups.
• Create disaster recovery plans detailing procedures for swiftly restoring cloud systems after a disruptive event.
• Design and implement regular disaster recovery (DR) tests to validate DR plans, ensuring the cloud systems meet defined RTO and RPO targets.
• Provide recommendations for improving DR plans as new cloud recovery technologies emerge, enhancing system resilience.
• Collaborate with application teams to identify and document resiliency risks and their corresponding remediation plans.
• Promote the use of automation wherever feasible to minimise human error.
• Contribute to cloud systems risk reviews.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Experience identifying deficiencies in cloud recovery strategies, plans, and internal processes.
• Knowledge of best cloud organisational practices, operational risk management processes, architectural requirements, and vulnerability risk.
• Experience conducting comprehensive risk assessments of information systems, applications, and processes to identify potential vulnerabilities, threats, and impacts.
• Experience monitoring and analysing emerging cloud threats and trends to proactively identify potential risks.
• Hands-on experience in developing disaster recovery (DR) plans for cloud-based systems.
• Practical experience in architecting, planning, and conducting DR tests for cloud-based systems.
• Proficient in configuring cloud components with adequate redundancy, backup, monitoring, and logging to prevent outages.
• Hands-on experience providing support for cloud infrastructure audits and security compliance activities.
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP) / comparable certification or education.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments is an added advantage.
• Strong presentation and writing skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Supporting the running, administration, update, and documentation of Care Corner's IT environment, such as but not limited to, PCs & peripherals, network, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra, Intune, cloud backup solutions and Salesforce.
• Assisting with the monitoring and follow-up of system resources and alerts, including site availability, vulnerabilities and DNS records, and also Helpdesk tickets & reports.
• Managing projects, such as relocation or upgrade of office networks, and migration of telephony systems.
• Assisting with the research, development, troubleshooting and maintenance of low-code/no-code applications such as Power Automate & PowerBI.
• Assisting with non-technical activities, such as IT sourcing and procurement, vendor management, project and system documentation, user training, policy enforcement, contract, license and subscription management, billing, and IT asset management.
• Undertaking any other technical or non-technical activities that may be required from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent together with relevant experience in network and system administration and support, especially on Microsoft 365 & related applications, and Salesforce.
