Production Department Manager

The primary job responsibility of the Production Department Manager is to ensure efficient and effective production operations through optimising resource allocation, monitoring production metrics, and implementing process improvements to maximise productivity and minimise waste. He / She drives continuous improvement and operational excellence within the production department by identifying areas for improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among the production team. He / She ensures the production team has the necessary skills, knowledge, and resources to perform their roles effectively.

Job Description

1. Over-see and manage the overall budget expenditure and headcount in the departments.

• To develop and implements programs to improve cost-effectiveness, safety, and manufacturing standards.

2. Responsible for the department’s workplace safety and health

• Conduct regular checks and inspection.

3. Lead and manage ECR reduction and closure.

• Conduct regular checks and inspection.

4. Ensure the entire dept follow the Company’s MS Control systems, policies, SOPs and comply with all regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular meetings and checks to ensure all sections are aligned with QESH MS, ISO and compliance with all related regulatory requirements.

5. Ensure that production is operating smoothly and efficiently.

• Plan and monitor production material requirements
• To plan the production schedules and ensure that production targets are achieved in terms of output and timing.
• To implement SOPs for the various production processes and ensure that all production personnel strictly observe these SOPs.
• To liaise and co-ordinate with external vendors, HQ staffs and other departments for various resources and support in daily operation and project execution
• To lead new products transplant and manage process changes to ensure no negative aftermath after a change.
• Conduct regular meetings and checks to ensure product quality with consideration for cost, safety, health, and environment

6. Responsible for staff development and training to ensure optimal competency.

• Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions with employees.
• Monitor the performance of employees

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the chemical manufacturing industry with at least 5 years in a similar capacity
• Has handled or been involved in ISO certification processes
• Strong working knowledge of chemical plant management
• Familiar with ESH regulations
• Computer-literate to handle MS Office applications.
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills,

• With general autonomy, the Mfg Production Planning Mgr will be responsible for balancing the Manufacturing capacity plan and scheduling against the PSL demand
• Manages the local MFG master planners to establish local manufacturing strategies in one or more MFG Plants
• Works with Global PML to establish improved planning practices as they relate from Field to MFG
• Defines and coordinates manufacturing planning strategy with field operations
• Liaises with Strategic Sourcing for long-term regional sourcing requirements
• Reviews potential external manufacturing alternatives for meeting supply requirements
• Conducts regular materials reviews with Product Service Line (PSL), Manufacturing, and Procurement
• Job role is responsible for measurable assets such as a department budget and staff of 3-15

Requirements:

Completion of an undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Research and minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing, materials or operations planning which includes experience and knowledge of detailed product and Company operations knowledge and general knowledge of master planning, inventory management and materials requirements planning.

Work you will do:

This role sits within the SAP team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which encompasses the SAP Module solutions respectively. As a leader of this group, you will drive the growth of our SAP business in the region and be responsible for the creation, sale and delivery of SAP solutions: Functional and Technical Design, SAP Application & Systems Development, SAP Business Transformation, etc.

· Engage clients in workshops and interviews to analyze process and reporting requirements.

· Advise clients on industry/ cross-industry leading practices. Advise clients on SAP recommended processes and functions.

· Design target state SAP solutions for clients. Influence clients’ thinking in adopting leading/ standard practices while developing target state.

· Analyze application landscape to design interfaces to SAP solution.

· Perform SAP configuration and tests. Develop specifications for development of forms/ reports/ interfaces.

· Lead the consultant and client teams through the implementation cycle including planning and execution of testing, migration and cutover.

· Support change management execution by developing training material, delivering training and supporting users post cutover.

· Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

· A good honors Degree, preferably at postgraduate level, in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or related disciplines.

· Consultants will require a minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP BTP Module, completed at least 3 to 4 end to end full life cycle of SAP BTP Module implementations. Also have some team leading experiences would be advantageous.

· Has experience in SAP S/4 HANA would be a plus.

· Experience in Fit-gap analysis for BTP migration required.

· PI/PO to BTP migration experience is a must.

· Demonstrated success in multi-cultural work environment.

· Sound understanding of business process, industry nuances and leading practices in area of focus.

· Ability to facilitate effective workshops to lead target state design.

· Ability to lead teams.

· Demonstrated excellence in conceiving and executing SAP solution.

· Broad understanding of SAP design. Appreciation of digital enterprise and emerging technologies.
