The Sous Chef supports the Chef de Cuisine as the culinary ambassador of the restaurant, leading the venue additional personality and soul. Our client was established in 1997. A wholly owned subsidiary of a major chemical company in Japan. They produce Super-Pure Hydrogen Peroxide and Ammonium Hydroxide for the semiconductor industry.

Job Description:
- Report directly to the Production Supervisor.
- Performs filling of hydrogen peroxide, ammonium hydroxide and mixing and filling of chemical polisher within stipulated targets and acceptable quality levels.
- Executes all production activities as instructed, such as but not limited to container preparations, inspections, washing, loading and palletizing to and from conveyor, strapping, packaging inspection, shrink wrapping, material receiving and handling, barcode generation and printing.
- Prescribe to adhere the procedure on QMS, EMS and OHS.
- Carry out necessary process parameters and record the data on check sheet and ensure that the readings are within prescribe operational range.
- Able to carry out and use hand held equipment necessary for operation activities.
- Able to carry out and use NAV operations.
- Able to carry out simple maintenance work.
- Able to carry out process and line improvement.
- Maintains the general upkeep and cleanliness of the production area.
- Strictly adhere to safety rules and donning of PPE when performing activities.
- Strictly adhere to standard operating procedure and observing line discipline.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position reports to the Production Planning function
• Chairs production meeting and provide updates on the status of the production orders
• Ensure production orders are executed to meet customer’s delivery dates and escalate to manager when at risk.
• Attend MRB (Material Review Board) meetings with the team and follow-up action on the status of non-conformance. Escalate to supervisor for decision-making when required.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure production orders are executed as per plan with minimal delays
• Extensive usage of ERP systems on order tracking and maintaining of records
• Monitor skip operations status, when occur, work with all departments to follow the production routing to ensure accurate clocking of operations by all departments
• Prepare Gantt charts and project manage high profile orders and keep supervisor updated on the status
• Analyse and prepare overall plant capacity and loading
• Closely monitor and expedite production order status.
• Must be able to feel comfortable manoeuvring on the shop floor with adequate PPE and observe all safety requirements in a Manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma or 2 years relevant experience in Planner role
• Past experience with ERP system will be added advantage
