RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position reports to the Production Planning function
• Chairs production meeting and provide updates on the status of the production orders
• Ensure production orders are executed to meet customer’s delivery dates and escalate to manager when at risk.
• Attend MRB (Material Review Board) meetings with the team and follow-up action on the status of non-conformance. Escalate to supervisor for decision-making when required.
• Work closely with all departments to ensure production orders are executed as per plan with minimal delays
• Extensive usage of ERP systems on order tracking and maintaining of records
• Monitor skip operations status, when occur, work with all departments to follow the production routing to ensure accurate clocking of operations by all departments
• Prepare Gantt charts and project manage high profile orders and keep supervisor updated on the status
• Analyse and prepare overall plant capacity and loading
• Closely monitor and expedite production order status.
• Must be able to feel comfortable manoeuvring on the shop floor with adequate PPE and observe all safety requirements in a Manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum Diploma or 2 years relevant experience in Planner role
• Past experience with ERP system will be added advantage
• Good proficiency in Microsoft office
• A good team player, energetic and willing to work hard
• Good communication skill

Purpose: To lead in the management of supplier’s quality performance and technical specification compliance to better meet the company’s business goal and requirements (Quality, Logistics, Technology, Cost, Service).

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Review and approve First Article (FA) Report for product qualification
• Review and approve Supplier Change requests through the Supplier Change Request and Waiver Report submitted by the supplier to manage Change Control (Copy Exact requirement).
• Conduct part buy-off at the supplier site per customer/VDL requirements to ensure compliance before the part is delivered to VDL site.
• Review the Material Review Board (MRB) list to make a disposition on non-conforming parts and take follow-up action (for supplier-related issues).
• Review, approve, and validate actions in the Supplier Non-Conformance Report (NCR)/Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) Report to ensure the root cause is identified to actions done to eliminate the issue and prevent re-occurrence.
• Review, approve and validate actions in the Supplier 8D Report to identify the root cause and eliminate the issue to prevent re-occurrence.
• Conduct Quality Management System /Technical / Process Audit to qualify; periodic assessment to mitigate risk to Customer and VDL.
• Provide support on the Supplier Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process (Quality-related actions, indices, and feedback) to ensure alignment between critical suppliers and VDL to meet VDL requirements/targets.
• Engage in Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP) with suppliers to improve Quality and prevent Quality issues.
• Review overall supplier Quality status during Weekly Supplier Quality Department meetings to control supplier Quality and mitigate concerns.
• Present updates on Supplier performance to management and the customer focus team at the Customer Performance Forum.
• Provide support on New Product Introduction (NPI) meetings (Supplier Quality-related) to understand customer requirements and translate them to related suppliers.
• Support and participate in the company continuous improvement program.

Qualification & Experiences:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronics or other relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a supplier quality engineer in the manufacturing industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development and integration of innovative control system solutions to enable stable, efficient, and reliable production of grid tied power converters
• Support the design and building of tools that allow debugging, analysis, and evaluation of control system performance.
• Conduct root cause analysis for control system failures in products for integration and fielded units during escalations.
• Perform PCB design, test and evaluation on specific control circuit board including gate driver, microcontroller board and others
• Conduct various device characterizations including design and development of verification test systems.
• Performs integration activities including troubleshooting the control system, designing and executing test plans and test automation, to ensure the algorithms functions as designed.
• Documents work results with requirements, design specifications, procedures, and training materials.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Control System Design: Assist in the design and development of advanced control systems for power converters, considering factors such as efficiency, stability, and grid integration.
• Software Implementation: Collaborate with software engineers to implement control algorithms in embedded software and firmware.
• Testing and Validation: Design and execute test plans to validate control system performance and robustness.
• Hardware Integration: Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of control electronics with power converter hardware.
• PCB Design and Development: Work closely in the PCB design activities including test and verification
• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation of control system designs, including specifications, schematics, and test reports.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve control-related issues during development and product testing phases.
• Compliance: Ensure that control systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on power electronics field.
• Proficiency in control system design, analysis, and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
• Strong programming skills in languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and control system validation.
• Knowledge of grid integration, grid codes, and power quality standards is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

We're searching for an experienced backend developer. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our server-side architecture while recruiting, mentoring, and setting the technical direction for our Android, iOS, and Electron (desktop) app developers.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend services using Golang and other relevant technologies.
