Service Delivery

• Provide inputs to the Group’s strategic risk appetite metric calculation for relevant ESGR risks, where applicable. Work closely with data strategy, third party vendors where relevant.

Governance

• Contribute to overall governance mechanisms (including committee oversight and individual approval authorities) for ESG and Reputational Risk management.
• Provide support across Climate Risk Management Committee and Group Responsibility and Reputational Risk Committee, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of regulatory and business conduct and compliance practices as defined by internal and external requirements.
• Embed the Group’s values and code of conduct in Group ESGR Risk.
• Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to the responsible risk governance committees including the CIBRC, WRBRC, CIBNFRC GRC and BRC.

Our Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of relevant working experience in the area of environmental and/or social risk, or in reputational and sustainability risk management within the Banking Industry
• Academic degree in Science, Management, Sustainability, Engineering that is specific to environmental and/or social risk, or specific to Industries (including Metals & Mining, Chemicals, Manufacturing, Agribusiness) or a similar technical/management study
• Experience in assessing risk and making decisions on clients and transactions is ideal
• Strong understanding of Risk management with track record of transforming risk management strategies into policies and standards
• Strong knowledge of ESG risk regulatory landscape, with ability to structure risk management strategy to meet regulatory change in the horizon.
• Strong creativity and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong Microsoft office skills with ability to handle large dataset of internal client information and risk assessment results including PowerPoint and presentation skills
• Confident and self-motivated person with a high level of drive and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
