Position Overview:

The Dorm Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a residential dormitory, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive living environment for residents. This role includes managing dormitory facilities, enforcing policies, supporting resident needs, and fostering a sense of community. The Dorm Manager plays a key role in promoting academic success and personal growth among residents. As the property is heading towards the building phase we would require the Dorm manager to manage the project, oversee the build up and ensure the operational readiness of the dorm.

Key Responsibilities:

Resident Support and Community Building

• Act as the primary point of contact for residents regarding dorm-related concerns.
• Foster a positive and inclusive living environment that encourages social interaction and mutual respect.
• Organize community-building activities, events, and programs.
• Mediate conflicts and provide guidance to resolve interpersonal issues.

Operations and Maintenance

• Ensure the dormitory is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas, addressing maintenance issues promptly.
• Oversee dormitory supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock and functionality.
• Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping staff to uphold facility standards.

Policy Enforcement and Safety

• Communicate and enforce dormitory policies, rules, and regulations.
• Address policy violations through appropriate interventions, including documentation and follow-up.
• Ensure emergency procedures are in place and conduct regular safety drills.
• Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly, coordinating with appropriate authorities as necessary.

Administrative Duties

• Maintain accurate records of resident information, incidents, and maintenance requests.
• Manage check-in and check-out processes, including room assignments and inspections.
• Prepare reports and updates for supervisors or stakeholders as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma ia related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Prior experience in Dorm management or facility management is preferred.
• Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  Organizational and time-management skills.
  Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively.
