Role

The successful candidate will be part of the Global Public Affairs team, and will support the team’s efforts in managing global public policy risks for SHEIN, including implementing strategies / plans to enhance SHEIN’s credibility and corporate reputation in the following domain areas relevant to the company’s business: ESG, tech and data, and trade and investment.

The successful candidate will contribute to the analysis and assessment of key public policies across SHEIN’s global markets, and the development of recommendations to internal teams on regulatory and operational implications. Established in 2007, the SMU School of Social Sciences (SOSS) provides high quality undergraduate and graduate education expanding SMU’s pedagogical strategy to the study of society, government, and individuals embedded within an increasingly complex world. With faculty expertise and research spanning the disciplines of psychology, political science, sociology, and philosophy, SOSS’s research covers key thematic areas such as international development, policy and politics, Southeast Asian studies, social movements, and sustainability. Sustainabilityforms a core research priority for SMU under its Vision 2025 research strategy. Position:

The School of Social Sciences (SOSS) invites applications for an open rank (Assistant, Associate, Full Professor) tenure track position in Sustainability, with a specific focus on environmental policy and governance, sustainable development, or environmental sociology to begin in July of 2025. The School is particularly interested in environmental social scientists with an established research and teaching repertoire or high potential for scholarly work on topics related to sustainability, including collaborative governance, the water-energy-food nexus, natural resource management, climate institutions and partnerships, and sustainability governance and analytics. Overall responsibilities

As part of the General Secretary’s Office, provide broad spectrum support to the General Secretary/CEO and the Bible Society as a whole.
