Responsibilities:
â—Ź Must be able to develop and lead annual fund activities, support all fundraising and donor activities for school
â—Ź Be a spokesperson in the community to help raise awareness of the school and the philanthropic opportunities that are available.
● Able to design, plan and implement the school’s short- and long-term fund development programs and ensure they are in line with the school’s mission, vision, and core values.
â—Ź Work directly with the School Director and School Board to identify, cultivate and solicit major gift prospects (current parents, alumni parents, and in the future corporations and foundations).
â—Ź Build relationships within the ICS community to foster a culture of giving.
â—Ź Organize arrangements for prospect and donor meetings with key ICS leadership.
â—Ź Develop and maintain alumni relations to further connect ICS with potential future donors.
● Intentionally identify partnerships in the school’s community to strengthen the philanthropic platform, and develop mutually beneficial endeavors.
â—Ź Oversee all major donor records in the database, tracking donor timing, sending thank you notes/videos/announcements and assisting with other tasks as needed.
â—Ź Coordinate campaigns and fundraising events identified in the MARCOM strategic plan.
â—Ź Maintain communication with donors updating the impact their donation has made on the school.
â—Ź Research, identify and apply for grant opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
â—Ź Minimum Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism, fundraising or something similar.
â—Ź Minimum of 3 years past work experience in philanthropy or public relations.
â—Ź Excellent communication skills with adults and students.
â—Ź Proven project management skills including delegation, defining and supervising the work of others, ability to balance multiple personal responsibilities, and attention to detail.
â—Ź Ability to deal with confidential information sensitively and appropriately.
â—Ź Working knowledge of office software applications and the ability to learn ICS specific IT tools: student information management software, admissions management software, etc.
â—Ź Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact and communicate with people effectively.
â—Ź High proficiency in spoken and written English.
