Overview

The key responsibility for this role is to lead a global team of commodity leads – drive strategy and transform the team to the next level of digital and integrated Supply Chain Management. To Develop and drive material and supply chain management strategies to deliver customer requirements and maintain financial competitiveness for Kulicke & Soffa. This position requires the incumbent to have direct commodity management experience gained in Semiconductor Equipment or similar industries. Able to communicate with all levels of management with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This position requires the incumbent to demonstrate competencies: Collaborative, Competitive, Creative, Reliable and Leadership.

Job Description

• Develop commodity strategy for mechanical / electro-mechanical sub-assemblies, modules, and commercial parts.
• Review commodity gaps and develop / drive implementation of new sources to close gap.
• Provide support to all business teams on materials and supply chain related to supplier capacity, schedule, deliveries, and costing.
• Provides management with regular recommendations / updates on commodity matrices performance & related commodity strategies moving forward.
• Sources for new suppliers, develop supplier strategy to meet cost, quality, technology, and delivery for all commodities.
• Plans and conducts regular business reviews with Key Suppliers to ensure aligned goals & business directions.
• Supports in resolving supplier quality problems and improve supplier manufacturing and business processes.
• Collaborates with key stakeholders to understand business priorities and drive key improvement matrices.
• Establishes and maintains rapport with critical suppliers to assure a high level of focus on total quality and cost effectiveness.
• Provides regionalization & risk mitigation input to ensure no delay / shortfall of material supplies.
• Lead and/or supervise project management (Cost Negotiation, NPI, Sourcing, Benchmarking, Process improvement)
• Other duties as assigned.

Experience requirements

• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and competent in managing a highly Global energized cross cultured team.
• Strong sense and experienced in cost saving methodologies e.g. value engineering, logistics optimization, negotiation skill and collaboration.
• Cost Benchmarking, RFQ analysis and Make-Buy analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of materials, technology, cost, commodity roadmaps and supply sources.
• Strong understanding of Contract law and contract drafting for different types of Product / Services.
• Strong commercial acumen and data presentation skills with an ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of SAP or Oracle including Purchase Order, Material Master, PIR, Contract management.
• Strong Analytic skill and process automation knowledge.
• Strong Decision-Making, project management & change management skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and strong focus on results.
• Meticulous with good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to inspire teamwork and to effectively lead others.

Other Requirements

• 8+ years’ experience in Global / Regional commodity management and procurement for Semiconductor or similar industries covering multiple regions / countries.
• Minimum Bachelor of Engineering

Responsibilities:

• Performing purchasing of ships spares and stores, consumable items, crew’s gear, safety related equipment and other items in coordination with the Superintendents.
• Responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating and purchasing of ship spare parts, stores, equipment with local and global approved suppliers to meet the scheduled shipment.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery speed and accuracy of purchased good;
• Issuance of Purchase Order upon confirmation by department Superintendent in charge;
• Interview vendors and visit suppliers' plants and distribution centers to examine and learn about products, services, and prices and HSSE culture. Constant sourcing for new vendors.
• Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices;
• Negotiate suppliers /vendor /contractor terms and condition on behalf of the organization;
• Meet with staff and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action;
• Evaluate and monitor contracts to be sure that vendors and supplies comply with the terms and conditions of the contract and to determine need for changes;
• Maintain and review records of items bought, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories;
• Ensure that cost is within the budget set by the organization;
• Coordinate with supplier for delivery schedule to be met;
• Coordinate with logistic company for the delivery of goods onboard vessel / office;
• Follow up with vessel once goods are delivered to ensure quantity and quality of goods;
• Updating of approved supplier/vendor list every month in the server;
• Ensure that all requisition sent in by the vessel to be signed off by Superintendent in charge;
• Liaise with various department for any equipment that are due for servicing and arrange accordingly to meet vessel schedule;
• Liaise with the necessary agent for the delivery of store and coordinate with logistic company accordingly;
• Preparation of organization Standard operating Procedure as required;
• Ad-hoc duties as necessary required by Supervisor.

Requirement:

• Min Diploma in Procurement / Marine / Engineering or equivalent certifications
• Preferred 2 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity preferably in Marine/Bunkering industry
• Excellent communications and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Hands-on experience with purchasing software
• Able to work well under stress in a fast paced environment

Job Responsibilities:

• Immediate handling of incoming purchase orders from vessels
• Send orders to relevant suppliers for quotations
• To negotiate prices and order follow up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority
• To liaise closely with warehouse, and suppliers and to ensure on-time delivery
• Give forwarding instructions to the supplier
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers updated about deliveries
• Contact with vessel’s port agents
• Custom Clearance
• Make necessary formal bookings for service and repairs based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager
• Maintained and update supplier’s database on various platforms.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holder in a related field/discipline
• A self-motivated individual with a minimum 3 years experience in marine industries is a MUST
• Possess initiative and able to multi-task
• Resourceful with good negotiation skills
• Tech Savvy, adaptable to working with ERP

Job Summary:

• Salary range: $4200 + AWS + VB

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure all requisition form (RF) raised (By vessels or office) are sourced, evaluated, negotiated within : 1-3 Days window for RFs marked as Urgent (U), 3-5 Days window for RFs marked as Normal (N).
• Ensure that all transactions are carried out to ensure best value for money and this is supported by valid documentation.
• Ensure that all purchases made through the Purchasing Department are properly authorized and conforms to quality specifications and standards.
• On approval as per DOA, Prepare Purchase Order in SAP, follow-up with suppliers for prompt delivery.
• Managing Freight Forwarder, clearing and last mile delivery agents for shipments arrangement to vessel or warehouse.
• Ensure confirmation of goods and services delivered or completed respectively is recorded. Support Account’s payables for follow-up monitoring & tracking Delivery Orders (DO) and submitted for Good Receipt processing within 30 days after completion or orders or service job completion.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive information on all purchases made and ensure that all purchasing records are updated and filed accordingly
• Ensure no Purchase Order (PO) are HELD in SAP Purchase Order Module for more than 1 week.
• Ensure all Orders / Repair jobs must have a complete and comprehensive Purchase orders before goods delivery/job start (otherwise will constitute a Cart-Before-Horse (CBH) case. For any exceptions, refer to SCM Manual/Line Manager.
• Prepare and/or provide inputs to weekly and monthly MIS reports.
