• Provides overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related disciplines

• Minimum 12 years of experience of applied experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability

• Strong proficiency in Java8+, Spring Boot and other Spring modules like Spring MVC, Spring data JPA, JDBC Template.

• Expertise in building RESTful Web Services and microservices using Spring framework.

• Expertise with modern front-end technologies like Reactjs

• Experience with processing large volumes of near real-time data via messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.

• Experience with persistence technologies such as relational and NoSQL platforms.

• Hands-on experience with any container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods. Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security

• Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

• Good knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems, preferably Payments Domain. Practical cloud native experience, AWS

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Knowledge of Apache Flink to process real-time Kafka messages
