As a High-Level Tennis Coach based in Singapore, you will play a pivotal role in transitioning Hugh Performance tennis players, top-ranked juniors, to the ATP, WTA and ITF circuits.
Your primary focus will be to oversee and execute a comprehensive development plan, including technical skills, physical fitness, mental conditioning, scheduling, and competition strategies. You will also serve as a dedicated traveling coach, accompanying players to all overseas training blocks and tournaments. Your mission is to develop the players according to your professional tennis assessment and achieve measurable milestones, with the specific goal of earning at least 3 ATP, ITF, WTA points for the players by 2025.

1. Salary : Shall be aligned with experience and qualifications.
2. Annual Leave : 14 days per year.
3. Work Hours : 42hrs per week
4. Work Days : Flexible, with a minimum of 1 off day per week. Off days in lieu will be provided for travel periods.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Development & Training Plan :
- Design, implement, and manage individualized development plan, covering all aspects of progression from junior tennis to professional level competition.
- Focus on improving technical tennis skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental resilience to prepare for competitive tennis.
2. Training & Technical Guidance :
- Lead technical training sessions, focusing on serving, groundstrokes, footwork, net play, and other essential aspects of professional tennis.
- Continuously analyze performance in training and matches, adjusting the development plan based on progress and areas for improvement.
3. Fitness & Physical Conditioning :
- Collaborate with strength and conditioning coaches to ensure physical readiness, optimizing strength, endurance, agility, and injury prevention protocols.
- Monitor and fine-tune fitness program, including recovery strategies, nutrition, and injury management.
4. Mental & Psychological Preparation :
- Work closely with a mental conditioning team to enhance mental toughness, emotional control, and ability to handle pressure in competitive environments.
- Implement visualization techniques, pre-match routines, and recovery exercises to foster mental resilience.
5. Scheduling & Tournament Planning :
- Plan and coordinate training blocks, recovery periods, and tournament schedules for optimal development and ranking progression.
- Develop and oversee a competition calendar.
6. Travel & On-Court Coaching :
- Serve as traveling coach for all overseas training blocks and tournament appearances.
- Provide on-court coaching support, helping players navigate different conditions and opponents at various levels of professional tennis.
7. Team Collaboration :
- Work in synergy with the wider coaching team, including fitness, mental, strength, and rehabilitation experts.
- Ensure communication and alignment between all support staff to achieve holistic player development.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field.
2. At leas 7-10 years of experience coaching players on the ITF, WTA or ATP World Tour
3. Former professional tennis player with an ATP ranking bellow #500
4. Tennis coaching certifications of International standards
5. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
6. Willingness to travel within Singapore and regionally when necessary.
