Requirements

• Proven experience in procurement in the F&B industry, with hands-on experience with inventory management software.
• Good organisational and planning abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• A natural ability to build relationships and to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• A keen eye for detail and quality who will make sure we get top-notch produce at competitive prices.
• Experience or background in Halal product quality and specification checklist.
• Muslim (requirement by MUIS in order to receive and verify Halal goods)

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management (establish strong business relationships with our key suppliers).
• Work closely with the food product and culinary operation teams to execute on purchasing requirements.
• Receiving products to stage them for inspection, place them into inventory, or deploy them to the kitchen team for immediate use.
• Inspecting and examining products that have been delivered to determine conformance to the purchase specifications.
• Efficiently manage any procurement system and ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Keep and maintain accurate recordings of all incoming and outgoing items.
• Conduct monthly stocktake.
• Be part of the Halal team to ensure requirements are complied with.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time.

Job Description

Assist in managing group purchasing and support activities of the Procurement Department for various projects and brands. Support the direction of the Group Procurement Manager

Job Scope(s):

• Sources for vendors and evaluates quotations.
• Negotiates and coordinates with suppliers and cross functional teams for best possible price purchases.
• Maintain and upkeep price list and central ordering system
• Support operation team on procurement needs.
• Coordinates with operation team and chefs, on stock availability and delivery schedules and to maintain tight inventory control.
• Generate purchase order and maintain the filing system of purchasing records.
• Involved in planning, sourcing and recommending suitable ingredients, materials and services in accordance with desired purchase conditions, from local and overseas suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure procurement procedures and policies are followed.
• Conduct regular review cost effectiveness and performance of suppliers and vendors by making random checks on supplier’s and outlets.
• Build strong network and partnership with suppliers.
• Carry out ad hoc assignment as instructed by Management

Job Requirement(s):

• Diploma or equivalent in Purchasing/Materials/Supply Chain Management
• Experience preferred but not essential, proactive and result driven is essential
• Experience in purchasing function in F&B industry would be an advantage
• Effectively multilingual in both English and Mandarin languages (in order to generate and read reports in Chinese language and also, to negotiate and maintain good relationships with all English and Mandarin speaking associates)
• Strong communication skill to work with various partners and cross department
• Resourceful with excellent negotiation skills and has good market and commercial awareness
• Good team player with dynamic personality and result-oriented
• Positive work attitude
• Good administrative and problem solving skills
• Able to handle multi-tasking and work pressure
