Job Description:

· Oversee all spare parts related activities and stock management in warehouse.

· Coordinate between clients on direct/ indirect demands to ensure order fulfilment.

· Collaborate with warehouse employees in monitoring stock levels and place orders as needed

· Ensure stocks is adequate for all distribution channels in the warehouse

· Handle customers’ enquiry/ feedback, follow up and provide quotation accordingly

· Develop relationships with local and oversea vendors to evaluate, discuss, and analyse spare parts requirements

· Create purchase order, delivery order, internal/ external billing, invoice and shipping document for any purchase transaction

· Keep track on the spare parts shipments on arranged schedules

· Perform other duties assigned or as instructed by the manager/ operation service team

Job Requirements:

· Minimum 2-3 years of experience handling operation or customer service coordination

· Familiar with heavy equipments such as reach stacker, crawler crane, excavators, trucks and forklift will be an advantage

· Good communication and interpersonal skill

· Good team player, able to work under pressure, tight deadlines with minimum supervision

Marine repair and services technical purchasing Head

- Must lead a team of 6 to 8 purchaser and guide them

- In depth knowledge of marine industry spares and stores

- Must be good in sourcing spares and stores at mostr competative price

- Prior marine experince preferred

- Flexible and willing to learn new things

- Preferably stays in west side of Singapore

About the Finance, Risk Assurance & Procurement team
The Finance, Risk Assurance & Procurement division is an imperative business partner to the accounts management and policy groups of the EDB. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in extensive cross-functional collaboration with various teams within and outside EDB. The primary responsibility of the interns will be to conduct independent and objective assessments of an incentive recipient’s achievement of incentives conditions through on-site visits and document reviews.

[What you will be working on]

As an intern, you will be required to:

• Conduct on-site visits and document reviews to assess an incentive recipient’s compliance with incentives conditions.
• Prepare review reports documenting the assessment and findings. The intern is required to have strong attention to detail and good analytical skills to conduct thorough and accurate compliance assessments.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including the organization being reviewed, EDB account managers, and policy divisions.  The intern is required to have good communication and interpersonal skills to engage the stakeholders effectively.

About the Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (Overseas Operations) Team
The overseas operations team within EDB’s Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (FRAP) division focuses on providing advisory on the procure-to-pay value chain for EDB’s overseas centres and officers.

The overseas operations team is embarking on system changes involving re-designing the business processes. Interns will be part of this project to assist with various areas such as information flow, system controls set-up, and business workflow designs.

For Interns to better understand the current workflows and systems to help with the review project, Interns will be assigned daily operational tasks and work alongside the rest of the overseas operations team.

[What you will be working on]

As our Intern, you will be required to/your deliverables are:

• Process payments to suppliers and reimbursement to staff involved in overseas operations.

• Monitoring accounts receivables, fixed assets, and bank accounts at overseas centres.

• Review, assess and provide recommendations for the assigned area within the overseas operations system and business process review project. For example, an Intern may be assigned to review the current process from procurement to payment for EDB overseas leases that fall under FRS116.

Procurement Executive is responsible for participating in strategic sourcing and routine purchasing activities to obtain the materials, equipment, and services to deliver for new projects and production demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the strategic sourcing management goals of assigned commodity and implement action items to ensure that those goals are achieved
• Develop and implement commodity strategies, including sourcing and supplier selection domestically and internationally
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
• Responsible for negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win-win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
• Drive Cost Reduction thru commercial and technical lever

Experience

• Experienced in Sheetmetal ~ Stamping, pressing, laser, turret, NC bending. Precision Machining ~ turned parts, lathe, milling. Surface finishes ~ painted, plating, heat treatments
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings/ specifications
• Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
• BOM Cost Management and Part/Product Costing analysis
• Ability to manage multiple projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities to ensure successful implementation of commodity strategies.

About FRAP
As part of EDB’s continuous efforts to develop the suite of industries in Singapore, the Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (FRAP) division is an imperative business partner to our officers in the industry and policy groups.

As a FRAP business partner, you will be responsible for providing advisory on the procure to pay value chain. You will also be part of a team that is responsible for the data management and implementation of FRAP systems, which is critical in ensuring that EDB has access to accurate and relevant data at all times to help drive operational decision-making, policy-making and strategic planning by Corporate Management and line divisions within EDB.
