About FRAP
As part of EDB’s continuous efforts to develop the suite of industries in Singapore, the Finance, Risk & Assurance and Procurement (FRAP) division is an imperative business partner to our officers in the industry and policy groups. The division looks after EDB’s financial operations, financial controls, accounting, procurement as well risk management.
[What you will be working on]
As a FRAP business partner, you will be responsible for supporting the IT division by providing advisory on their procure to pay activities. This role requires extensive cross-functional partnership with various stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Engaging with relevant internal and external stakeholders on:
Budget management such as budget analysis/evaluation, budget preparation, monitoring and reporting
Procurement activities such as policy formulation, co-solution and vetting of procurement requirement specifications and approvals for compliance with procurement policies, guidelines and processes.
Financial reporting and management which include accounts payable activities such as payment review and processing, fixed assets and tax accounting as well as the use of data analytics to derive relevant insights and trends.
2. Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement, while keeping abreast of policies, processes and key risks.
[What we are looking for]
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration; or equivalent.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the areas of procurement, audit, and/or accounting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills.
Good problem solving and critical thinking skills, results oriented and able to work effectively under pressure or on multiple priorities and projects.
Knowledge in either IT procurement, financial controls, and/or Government Procurement Instruction Manuals would be an advantage.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
A keen learner with a strong drive for operational excellence.
