Our client is a Global MNC, one of the leading players in the Engineering sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an Assistant Procurement Manager to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West – easily accessible.
Responsibilities:
- Lead negotiations for the company’s various strategic partnerships, focusing on both support and pricing agreements
- Formulate/Execute procurement strategies aligned with the company’s objectives
- Source quotes for office/manufacturing-related raw materials and services, demonstrating expertise in recommending materials, grades, and composites
- Stay updated of the current industry trends and innovations to enhance sourcing efficiency
- Input and release purchase orders promptly, ensuring both accuracy and compliance with the necessary specifications
- Collaborate with the company’s QA team to align purchase orders with incoming specifications
- Collaborate with the company’s Planning team to prevent costly shortages or excesses of raw materials
- Facilitate/Enhance communication between the company’s Warehouse and Production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor/Manage the company’s suppliers and their On-Time Delivery performances, ensuring that the supply to production process is smooth
- Optimize the purchasing volume to minimize additional costs
- Monitor/Optimize inventory levels, preventing slow-moving stock and potential obsolescence
- Implement cost-saving measures, source for alternate suppliers, and lead cost reduction programs
- Establish and negotiate reliable and cost-effective freight solutions
- Manage and update prices in the system, ensuring accuracy and transparency
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and generate monthly reports and analysis
- All other adhoc duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in any relevant field of Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the relevant industries
- Experienced in using SAP system and Microsoft Office
- Possesses strong knowledge/experience in Procurement and Sourcing
- Possess strong knowledge/experience in process improvements/implementations
