Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, shipping documents, return shipments, labels and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.

Mission

• Plan and implement the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities within the project and organization.

We are looking for a motivated and talented Quality Engineer to design and work on the implementation of quality assurance process, ensuring the delivery of high quality software products in the distributed environment. You will drive quality and quality-related development work in all team projects, work alongside the software development and SRE teams to acquire in-depth knowledge of how each application works in terms of business logic, security aspects, development environments, and production environments. You will design, implement and maintain automation roadmap for complex services, while also driving advancements in test strategies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good foundation in at least one object oriented programming language (preferably Java)
• Understanding of databases (e.g., SQL) and Linux/Unix
• Knowledge of scripting language such as: Perl, Python or Bash
• Self-motivated, independent, with great organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of REST APIs. Good knowledge of response codes, headers/request/response structures, and payloads. If you have tested/automated REST APIs calls with Java, that will be great!
• Ability to understand testing techniques (e.g. performance, unit, integration, automated) and ability to use them to best effect - including tracking and addressing of any discovered issues.
• Able to investigate, debug and triage problems both independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of bug tracking and test/requirement management systems
• Knowledge of build and deployment systems using Maven and GIT
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices
• Familiarity with open source testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Selenium etc) is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities

- Prepares recovery programmes and presentations summarizing key recovery strategies

- Identify possible time impact issues I.E. set up and manage Variation Order Deduction System.

The AppleCare Technologies Systems Quality team has an immediate opening for a Systems Quality Project Manager to manage and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for complex Regional and Global AppleCare systems and software projects. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, execution management, issue resolution, and progress reporting of testing activities across business and technical groups on BPR led projects. Through your knowledge of industry best practices for quality management, you will help to evolve the way we approach test planning and execution.

Develop Comprehensive Testing Strategies:

• Quality advocate who will collaborate with business and technical teams to create quality test plans for cross- functional systems projects, focusing on User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Design testing structures, defining roles and responsibilities across all regions, Apple organizations, and third-party vendors as needed.

Establish UAT Communication and Coordination:

• Performs a uniquely significant role on training Central Execution team overseas on all designed control testing tools and established control testing procedures.
• Has the ultimate decision on controls testing outlier disputes, holds the responsibility to raise concerns through IMPACT Concerns or QUEST Observation Logs based on the Business.
• Creates materials for Operational Risk Forums (ORF) and senior meetings as needed and investigates causes for results that are deviating from trends and escalate situations that pose excessive risk(s).
• Develops and drives quality-checking routines to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, operating guides, and owned control testing.
• Supports team members on topics ranging from control testing design to performance management and control testing platforms basics.
• Helps drive continuous improvements in accuracy, efficiency, timeliness, and quality of MCA control design assessment and controls testing.
• Maintains relationships and drives accountability with partners and stakeholders to drive control testing's success in support of the business's strategy.
• Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:

• 5+ years relevant experience, 3+ years in Risk & Controls roles.
• Subject matter expert on controls design, execution and/or control testing.
• Excellent understanding of MCA (Managers Control Assessment) frameworks and processes.
• Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
• Effective communication, written and presentation skills.
