​My client is currently hiring a Business Control AVP for their Private Banking Business. This is a new headcount sitting within the Private Banking team, the incumbent will be performing new account opening / account review and developing AML control strategies to optimize account opening and underwriting opportunities to support business growth, while ensuring an appropriate balance between risk and return.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be responsible in performing client due diligence on-boarding checks and review as defined by prevailing policies and guidelines. You will also take ownership in clearing system generated name screening alerts or perform manual screening.

This role requires a close collaboration with front office and other stakeholders to supplement and improve relevant operating procedures to ensure full compliance with policies and regulatory.

Additionally, you will ensure full compliance of operation manual, investment & insurance sales workflow, sales guideline to PB frontline and ensure client due diligence & client suitability checks are in order, and to ensure accuracy of capture to avoid incidents and dealing errors.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be qualified for this position,

• Degree holder
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in banking in compliance, risk and operation management.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
  Minimum one year of relevant working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical laboratory.
• Good knowledge of laboratory processes and safe handling of chemicals.
• Good knowledge and experience in handling Gas Chromatography and other scientific testing instruments.
