Your key responsibilities

As a Senior / Associate within the Technology Assurance team, you will:

• Participate in multiple client engagement teams and other related activities. Engagements focus on the assessment and/or evaluation of Information Technology (IT) systems and the mitigation of IT-related business risks. Engagements may be either assurance/other assurance (attestation) and/or extended assurance in nature and vary considerably in size and complexity
• Serve as a fieldwork leader to assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximise efficiencies and minimise risk
• Work with client personnel to analyse, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process, and will assist clients and other Technology Assurance professionals in performing information technology control and security engagements
• You will also play a central role in leveraging data and analytics tools to deliver high-quality audits by:

- Working with the audit teams to devise and execute detailed analytics plans based on the broader audit strategy
- Utilizing analytics tools and techniques, analyze large volumes of data to identify anomalies and patterns that suggest potential areas of audit risk
- Integrating audit analytics findings into the overall audit approach and to present these findings to the client

Skills and attributes for success

• Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents
• Work with the engagement team to document the business processes dependent on information technology
• Serve as a fieldwork leader by directing the daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance
• Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems
• Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations
• Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services
• Proficient in analytics tools like Alteryx, SQL and Power BI, as well as familiarity with more traditional tools such as Excel etc
• Have a strong understanding of financial and non-financial data, and its applicability in the audit process
• Ability to simplify complex data and communicate results clearly to non-technical audiences, both in writing and through visualizations
• Be a strategic thinker that can see beyond the data and understand how analytics fits into the bigger picture of an audit engagement and the overall assurance process

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• A recognised university degree in accounting, business, computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics or other relevant discipline
• Willingness to travel on overseas assignment as the need arises
• Project management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
• Leadership, teamwork and client service skills
• Demonstrated integrity within a professional environment

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Relevant certifications such as CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CBCP, CIA, CIPP, CGEIT
• Prior experience in performing data analytics in an audit, risk management, compliance, or related role

Job Description

1. Monitoring Production Processes: Ensuring that all manufacturing processes comply with established standards and regulations. This involves frequent inspection of equipment, facilities, and procedures to identify any deviations or potential issues.

Quality Testing: Conducting regular quality tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. This may involve various tests such as sensory evaluation, chemical analysis, and microbiological testing to ensure that products meet safety and quality specifications.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of quality tests, inspections, and any deviations observed during the production process. Documentation is essential for traceability and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Identifying the root causes of quality issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. This may involve working closely with production teams to address process inefficiencies or equipment malfunctions.

Training and Education: Providing training to production staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory requirements. Ensuring that all employees understand their roles in maintaining product quality and safety.

Continuous Improvement: Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality control processes and optimize production efficiency. This may involve implementing new technologies, adopting best practices, and staying updated on industry trends and advancements.

Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, such as those set by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) and other relevant authorities. This includes staying updated on changes to regulations and ensuring that manufacturing processes align with current standards.

Requirements:

1. Educational Background: A bachelor's degree or higher in food science, food technology, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field. Some positions may require specific certifications or training in food safety and quality management systems.
2. Experience: Previous experience in a quality control or assurance role within the food manufacturing industry is often preferred. This could range from entry-level positions for recent graduates to mid-level or senior roles requiring several years of relevant experience.
3. Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations: Familiarity with local and international food safety regulations and standards is essential. In Singapore, this includes regulations set by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) as well as international standards such as ISO 22000 and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP).
4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are necessary for conducting quality tests, interpreting data, and identifying trends or deviations in production processes. Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation may be required for more advanced roles.
5. Attention to Detail: A keen attention to detail is crucial for conducting thorough inspections, identifying quality issues, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
6. Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are important for collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting quality issues, and communicating findings and recommendations to management.

• 5.5 Days Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
• Location: Chin Bee Crescent (Boon Lay MRT)
• Salary: Basic $2500 to $3500 + cold room allowance $100 + AWS + VB (depends on performance)

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in the warehouse department
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and food safety

Responsibilities:

• Deploy work based on real-time conditions.
• Must report any shortage of goods to the Room in charge or Warehouse Executive.
• Follow up on work progress to complete daily work.
• Report machine/equipment anomalies to the maintenance team.
• Report to warehouse supervisor when observers are not fit for work.
• Ensuring team members can complete their daily work.
• Supervising team member discipline.
• Supervising team members to ensure picking accuracy.
• Ensuring team members follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) diligently.
• Ensuring team members complete checklists.
• Ensuring team members check equipment/machines for abnormalities.
• Notify QA or supervisor when raw material quality issues are identified.
