This is a full-time hybrid role for a Field Applications Engineer located in Singapore. The Field Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, resolving technical issues, developing solutions to meet customer needs, and identifying and developing new business opportunities. As a field application Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the implementation, installation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.

Job Responsibilities:

1. On-site Implementation: Conduct site surveys, mark and label areas, and install necessary shelves for equipment placement.
2. Equipment Installation: Unpack and install equipment, perform equipment debugging, and conduct product testing.
3. Deployment and Integration: Deploy software components, conduct system integration, and liaise with customers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
4. Project Delivery: Participate in project management and risk assessment, report and troubleshoot issues, and facilitate the final delivery and acceptance of projects.
5. Post-sale Maintenance: Perform preliminary troubleshooting and feedback for hardware and software issues, diagnose and resolve problems.
6. Maintenance Services: Replace spare parts, conduct inspections and maintenance, track and report issues, and provide service feedback.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor or higher degree in computer software, electronic communication, automation, or other related fields.
2. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in software, testing, automation or robotics.

· Lead I&C engineering teams in multiple projects within the organization with management of local and remote team setups.

· Hands-on Technical expertise in defining and implementing engineering applications and solutions with Instrumentation, Control and Automation systems

· Preparation of Engineering schedule, Engineering man hour estimation for complete project, Gated review of Engineering documents like Design Basis report, P&ID, Instrument sizing and selection criteria, I&C Layout drawing, 4Q Analysis, Standardization, Bill of Materials, review and estimation of installation and testing, commissioning scope etc.

· Preparation of Control and Automation sequences, logic development and deep understanding of simple to complex control system architectures and related topologies

· Good knowledge of advanced control application including digital solutions i.e. cyber security, process optimizations etc.

· Minimum 6 years’ experience of running remote engineering and operations center at regional or global levels.

Overview

The Application Test Engineer is responsible to develop automation scripts based on the test scenario. The scripts to conform to standards and are delivered with quality, meeting schedule and requirements.
