Responsibilities

We're seeking a Back-end Developer/Engineer to join our team. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end systems, using your expertise in web technologies to deliver quality products to our audience.

• Lead the technical architecture and feature design of business systems, overseeing code implementation.
• Participate in developing and maintaining internal information systems.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal workflow platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in Java programming with expertise in mainstream technologies like I/O, multithreading, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and MyBatis.
• Strong understanding of common databases and middleware, including MySQL, Redis, RocketMQ, and Elasticsearch.
• Familiarity with design patterns and experience in abstract modeling, preferably with domain model design experience.
• Track record of leading or participating in large-scale business software platform projects, preferably in process systems and middleware development.

Job requirement:

• Have a minimum of 3 years engineering experience in the areas of valves, control valves and steam applications
• Possess a Diploma/Degree in Engineering
• Ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) and contribute to the overall team sales
• Possess a strong positive attitude towards customer service excellence
• Conduct technical and/or product training to internal and external customers
• Have own vehicle which will be an advantage

Job Scope and Responsibilities:

1. Support the sales team by identifying the right products to meet customers’ requirements:
   • Develop strong relationships with customers as a trusted advisor to facilitate engineering solutions by visiting customers regularly, providing pre-sales and post sales support.
   • Work with sales teams to interpret customer requirements, deliver solutions and manage customer expectations with the end-goal of sales in mind
   • Work as a consultant to the sales teams and clients to problem-solve and make recommendations during the sales process.

2. Provide engineering solutions to resolve customers’ engineering challenges through troubleshooting

• Offer workable solutions to help solve customers’ problems.
• Participate in technical discussions with the client’s engineering or maintenance teams and address any process or engineering concerns.
• Be able to think critically and suggest improvements that might lead to cost savings or other client benefits.
• Work with our Technical Service Unit to implement engineering solutions for customers.
• Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing the company’s service standards.

3. Deliver presentation or in-depth training of Company's products/solutions to customers.

• Develop and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects. Effectively tailor presentations for customers and special events.
• Conduct technical and/or product training for internal and external customers.
• Engage in developing company’s marketing resources when necessary.

4. Source and broaden Company's product range from reliable local/overseas suppliers

• Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
• Communicate and negotiate with Principals/suppliers to bring the most cost-effective benefits and solutions to customers.
• Act as an intermediary between customers and suppliers to address any technical requirements and clarifications.

5. Be an effective contributor to the project team

• Develop technical solutions in engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Support the project teams by engaging in technical discussions with customers and suppliers to ensure that project is delivered on time and with budget.
  • Be prepared to offer alternative workable solutions when unforeseen problems surface during the project execution.
  • Ensure all information related to the project is properly documented and stored in company database.

Job Responsibilities:

This role will focus on maintaining the company's internal system platform and client devices and proactively planning for improvement of quality, effectiveness and efficiency.

1. Technical Expertise

Demonstrate good knowledge and technical proficiency in server platform such as Windows Server, Linux and VMware.
Administration of Windows Active Directory, Symantec Endpoint Protection, Veeam Backup, Cisco L2 Switches and PaloAlto Firewall.
Provision Windows 10 desktop and Microsoft Intune managed laptop.

2. Risk and Control

Provide timely escalation and resolution of major issues to Management and teams.

3. Client and Stakeholder Engagement

Flexibly correspond to the operation and collaborate with staffs within organization.
Work as a technical specialist with the responsibility to plan and deliver technical deliverables and coordinate with internal teams, partners/vendors and key stakeholders.

4. Projects & Other Responsibilities

Prepare and present regular reports and documentations.
Ensure that the task status and progress are communicated across to stakeholders in a meaningful manner.
Clear understanding of ITIL Change, Problem and Incident management frameworks.

5. Assistant Team leader duties:Manage and support network team of 3 to 5 members as sub leader under team leader.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/ Diploma holder in IT, Computer Science or equivalent fields
• Fundamental knowledge of security and vulnerability-based approach to security hardening.
• Hands-on experience in VMware, Windows Server and standard platform maintenance products such as anti-malware, server backup and log audit software.
• Experience in physical server, virtual server, network and storage systems.
• Fundamental knowledge of Cisco LAN and Firewall administration.
• Establish and maintain a good relationship with stakeholders based on trained interpersonal skills.
• Those with Supporting IT infrastructure in a middle size organization (approx. 200 staffs) with at least 5 years of technical delivery experience are advantageous
• ITIL certified is an advantage.
• Possess good and assertive verbal, written communication skills and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
• Good bi-directional and collaborative attitude in order to work as a professional in a team.
