McConnell Dowell is looking for a Site Engineer for one of our major infrastructure projects in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the effective Engineering, Planning, Quality, Survey, Cost Control, and Scheduling functions for the project.
• Adherence to all requirements of the McConnell Dowell Project Execution Plan.
• Compliance with the Safety and Environmental Responsibilities (attached).
• Assisting Senior Project Engineer and Construction Manager with daily site activities.
• Monitoring/reporting site progress (direct employees and subcontract works).
• Formulation of procedures for construction activities.
• Interact with client personnel, and represent McConnell Dowell in a professional way.
• Attendance and contribution to prestart, internal, HSE, and client meetings.
• Adherence to all relevant legislation at work.
• Promotion of MCD Core Values and Safety Culture.

About You

He provides technical support during construction and site showround. He/She coordinates with sub-contractors, suppliers and consultants. He also maintains proper filing and record of drawing list as well as assist to prepare engineering reports. He participates in site works, inspection and planning.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical engineering
• Minimum 2 to 5 years Electrical Installation experience in Greenfield projects.
• A self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedules works with reference to contractual schedules
• Coordinate goods delivery with suppliers and installations works with sub-contractors as required
• Attend to all operational matters related to the daily running of the project
• Liaise with customers/consultants/project managers concerning approval of plans and drawings, acceptance of work, progress of work, problem solving, etc.
• Attend site meetings and inspections, report regularly on progress and monitor project schedule
• Update As-Built Drawings
• Testing and Commissioning of the completed installations with Customers/Consultants/Sub-Contractors
• Co-ordinate with customers/consultants/project managers to handover completed project with O&M Manual.

Academic Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Cloud Engineering/Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Candidates should possess 3 years hands-on working experience in the System engineering with L2 Cloud Server management experience. Exposure to security, support and operations of sizable enterprise and cloud infrastructure with in-depth hands-on knowledge of security practice.
• Proficiency in Windows Server roles and functions is a must.
• Proficiency in Linux based systems, security infrastructure, security policy orchestration and system automation tools will be an added advantage.
• Ivanti Patching management, Ansible Automation, power automate/powershell and/or other scripting languages.
• Familiarity in AWS Best Practise system management, S3 Bucket, EC2 Instance, VPC, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, SES, Route53, JSoN/YAML scripting.
• Fluent in Database/RDS management. MS SQL, Oracle.
• Familiar with Call Center Service. Call flow design, Amazon Connect, voice gateway
• Experience with Microsoft EntraID, Conditional Access, Graph API, Azure B2C.
• Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL would be helpful.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced implementation environment
• Knowledge of Veritas Backup solution, Ivanti Patching management, Ansible Runbook Automation, IIS Web, Apache/Tomcat Web.
• Knowledge of Genesys Call Center Solutions, Amazon Connect Call Center. Voice Gateway and SIP trunk integration.
• Automation Scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, YMAL, JSON, Bash.
• Knowledge is Database Management, MS SQL, Oracle and AWS RDS.
