Primary Responsibilities:

• The candidate shall supervise and review the design of the electrical team by checking specifications, schedules, datasheets, drawings, and 3D models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to.
• The candidate shall review clients, design engineers and/or third-party design and information to determine suitability and liaise with those concerned to obtain further information if necessary.
• The candidate shall have experience gained by delivering projects across the complete project lifecycle from front end engineering design (FEED) through to detailed design, technical assurance, testing & commissioning and final handover.
• The candidate shall produce design layouts which are cost effective, meet the requirements of the specification and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively. The term ‘cost’ is to embrace all costs associated with the design and the subsequent construction of the design. To be cost-effective, the whole outturn cost of the design solution must be considered, including design time costs, material costs, erection costs and any impact that the design solution might have on other disciplines.
• The candidate shall liaise with other disciplines within the organisation or the project team to fully integrate all design elements.
• The candidate shall provide written reports of system options.
• The candidate shall write specifications for electrical systems.
• The candidate shall prepare calculations and technical/equipment specification documentation.
• Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
• The candidate shall have experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
• The candidate shall have Excellent knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environment, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCD’s, earthing and bonding and familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry-specific standards and working practices. Also, able to write and review technical documentation (technical specifications, control philosophies, URS)
• The candidate shall have proficiency in designing appropriate digital analysis packages and electrical design software such as Trimble/Amtech.
• The candidate shall ensure that standard practices are utilised wherever possible.
• The candidate shall provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• The candidate shall have at least 8 years of experience in electrical design works, preferably with contractor experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists Topsides Engineering Project Manager in managing engineering work including engineering deliverables, man-hour and schedule control, mainly in multi-disciplinary topsides design related activities and to ensure work performed on the project is in accordance with company quality, systems and safety requirements
• Understand the contract and scope of work for topsides with sub-contractor
• Prepares key project documentation as per project specification requirements
• Manages project topsides related drawings and controls technical documentation across disciplines

• Lead & co-ordinate between Hull’s Team, topside lead designers from every discipline, external design house (when applicable) & client (when applicable) to define the boundary for each module and boundary between topside & hull
• Co-ordinates between discipline to utilize the shared license based-on work priority;
• Monitors & control the topsides design manhours based-on the available budget allocated by commercial team or as defined by discipline Lead Designer
• Records & follow-up all the topsides design pending issues / problems highlighted by Lead Designers from every discipline, and report to Topsides Engineering Manager
• Expedites the information required by each discipline prior to start & complete the topsides design works
• Monitor 3D model clashing issues with other discipline
• Prepares Weekly Report related to Overall topsides design Progress, Area of Concern, Pending Items, Clashes Register, Interface Register, Down Time Register, Available Resources against Planned Resources, Manhour Usage against Planned Manhour, etc & Action Plan & submit to Topsides Engineering Manager/Engineering Project Manager & GM
• Assists topsides EPM in preparing project close-out, including as-built documentation and engineering close-out reports.
• Tack and coordinate changes with Discipline Leads ensuring team members follow the management of change process (MOC); ensure recorded changes are followed through.
• Proactively identify and monitor areas likely to change to reduce the “surprise” element, added costs and delays to project.

Requirements

· Relevant Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Petroleum/Oil/Gas, Civil, Chemical or Industrial Engineering are acceptable.

· Experience in Refinery and Oil & Gas must

· Experience in QA/QC and Knowledge in Non-Destructive Testing methods.

· Knowledge/experience in welding inspection, structural fabrication, piping Isometric drawing and piping materials.

· Work Independently and can work in Singapore and other countries.

· Fluent Reading, Speaking and Writing in English.

· Willing to commit 24 months contract/ project completion.

· Team Worker, Mature, Meticulous, Pro-Active Work Attitude & Work Independent.

· Energetic & Result Orientated.
